| Those are some SPECTACULAR pieces. The colors are rich, vibrant, technicolor expressions that are suitably disturbing. VERY IMAGINATIVELY & CREATIVELY WELL DONE! | |

| Nice models! Very good combination of fantasy future and fantasy past.
How did you get the armour and helmet to look like that? What colours where used?

| hey Vamp, just the regular black undercoat, boltgum metal drybrush, mithril silver drybrush, and from there on you can do whatever you like with very thin washes On the hybrids I started with black to dull most of the shine and give an old, not well tended to look, then scorpion green (which gives the fluorescent kind of green) to try the "objective light sourcing" from the eyes and pipes. Then added a number of washes with very dark brown, a little bit leftover of the purple I used on the skin, a little dark red... The secret of succes is patience : use very thin multiple washes. It's better to give 5 thin washes than 1 that is too thick. For thinning, I sometimes use plain water, but mostly add a drop of some kind of floor polish (didn't try with washing liquid, but I think that might work as well) and recently I bought Vallejo's glaze medium and P3's mixing medium. I like the Vallejo better. Also, I scavenged an old hair dryer, which helps me drying the washes so I can move up right to the next layer without waiting. I got lots of ideas about painting techniques from the dvd from Jeremy Teboul, which is a true artist ; check out his website ! cheers rascal | |

| Wow! From start to finish you can really see your progression with these miniatures, each one just gets better and better. Not to mention you've got great blending and color matching going on in your recent stuff. Really nice work! | |

| Hi, well, like i said :
Then added a number of washes with very dark brown, a little bit leftover of the purple I used on the skin, a little dark red... I wouldn't swear on it, but I think the rust effect comes from scorched brown. @ Jackanory : poison wind globes !!!

| That is one SCARY mini. I LOVE the choice of colors...ties in nicely with the Alchemists, AND the base is SPECTACULAR. The slime extending over the edge of the base is a cool touch...give a 3D effect. A little touch of burnt orange on the yellow & a highlight of charcoal on the black might add some depth to the stripes. As always VERY WELL DONE! | |

| YET ANOTHER SPECTACULAR MINI! The choice of vivid colors is PERFECT...it's what makes the mini & lends it a horrific character. WONDERFULLY WELL DONE! My dear Pascal, don't be upset about a lack of commentary...it's hard to find the right words to say when one is awe struck. Lack of advice merely means that we can't think of anyway to improve on what you've done. Sometimes silence is the highest form of compliment. | |

| I second what Nala says. Your painting skills are just far superior than mine. There's nothing I can say that could help your painting. i'm not a big fan of these sci-fi models but that doesn't stop me from recognising the great quality of your painting! As for you question on wheatering the stripes: there's not much I can think of because I haven't explored that area of painting myself. I guess you could use metal to make 'chips' or areas where the paint got scratched off and perhaps some washes to create some dirt. Take a walk through the Volvo factory and you'll get plenty of inspiration for making grease stains in fact taking a look back at your models I feel I haven't said enough how great your painting is! especially that last model is superb! | |

| As a DIRZ lover myself..... This is great mate!!!! Well done all around! As for the weathering, you could just do a smear of was on it. Not on all of it, just like if something yucky has been dragged across. Would fit in nicely theme wise. | |

| That REALLY is an UNBELIEVABLY WELL DONE piece... BEAUTIFULLY HORRIFIC! Never being completely satisfied with your own work is a major reason why your pieces consistently improve. HOWEVER,your creations are far superior to what most of us will ever attain...sometimes having you deride your own efforts can be disheartening to we of lesser abilities. | |

| mmmh... i think part of the secret lies in the use of multiple washes in the past, i just used GW washes straight out of the container. That gives way too much saturation. After seeing Téboul's dvd, i started experimenting with really thinned paint (tiny bit of paint + water + floor cleaner) (lately with vallejo mix medium) or thinned washes. The paint gives a much more matte finish (good for making things look old, rusted, etc), whereas washes give a "cleaner" look. E.g. good for leather, clothing not soiled, etc The thinner they are, and the more layers you put on, the more gradient your colours flow one into the other. One of these days, I want to start trying going from one colour to another that don't belong together (let's say from purple to orange, or so. Maybe with another colour in between.) There's really not much to it, All ; just try it out some time keep Texas safe (and crazy) sleep well | |

| ...I've been doing strange washes for awhile; the results fall between REALLY COOL & GOD AWFUL...fortunately we work with a very forgiving media. | |

| GREAT PAINT JOB on a VERY COOL MINI! You've captured the Ancient part of the Ancient Ambrosius WONDERFULLY...I can identify with "Ancient". The industrial style base is SUPERBLY DONE. Although meant for Hybrid, he fits very well with the Mordheim feel. As always EXCEPTIONALLY WELL DONE! | |

| The miniature is very nice! I like the painting style because you use a very big palette of colours, which all seem to compliment each other without becoming some sort of a circus-act. This mini is no exception in that case. That is a talent I do not yet seem to possess.
I particularly like the blending and the amount of details put into the model. Very well done I'd say!
