| hi y'all, had this skaven lying around half painted for ages, and finally finished him he's real old school, but I think he might make a nice leader next is the kinda elven pit fighteresque female that was posted unpainted in the female mini's thread I always found large areas of skin rather hard to paint, but I think I'm finally getting a bit the hang of it. With a lot of practice, I should be able to finally paint a decent large skin area. The combination of pale elf flesh and black leather armour was a pain(t) in the butt ; think I spent 3 afternoons, painting the black and then cleaning up between the flesh Eye shadow is another thing I'm not that good at, and lips are a complete disaster. Should search for a tutorial on that ... The boots look a little better in real than on the picture ; the highlights seem to come out much less blended on the pic ... will have to look into that... | |

| Great paintjob on that Skaven and the elf, even though I don't like the elf mini itself. The blending on the boot looks really great on the first picture, I trust the backside of the boot is just as good in real life!

| I love the scaven! Great job on him. A perfect model indeed for the leader, with him carrying around the warp stones on his side. I love your ability to paint the handel part of his weapon, looks like a real branch! | |

| Your paint jobs are really good. I suspect even better than the pictures show. You may want to try slightly less light when you photograph, it looks like it's washing out some of the layers of paint, especially the skin. In the past, I just threw a wet paper towel over my desk lamp. That seemed to get he best results.
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing. |

I agree with all, love the minis and very eye popping colors that you use.

| hi folks, yeah, i know ; the pics aren't top notch photography mostly i'm just too hurried to snap a shot and post it ; i'm lacking a bit of patience in that department (on the other hand, spending 20 to 30 hours on one simple mini isn't an exception for me ... aaarrrghhhh !) oh well, here's the minelayer for my sons Hybrid game ; hope you like 'em despite the pic quality suggestions on what i could have done better are welcome as always (I know the base isn't quite mordheimy, but like i said ; it's for my son's hybrid game) cheers y'all | |

| the minelayer is very well painted so in order to find something to improve i have to dig deep.
i think some sort of blacklining could make him pop even more. some people lie that and some dont but if you are a "liker" you could try it out.
excelent blends on the cape!

| thanks guys one of these days i'll take a look into making kind of a picture box ... think i saw a tutorial here somewhere Belzebub, i must have watched your witch hunters a zillion times as reference such crisp paintjobs ! you truly are an artist ! if you have more fantasy mini's ; i'd love to see them, and i think i'm not the only one on this forum. Don't understand why you don't get higher ratings at cmon. I recently came upon a site called Massive Voodoo ; they have lots of great pics and some nice tutorials ; all you painting maniacs should check it out : http://massivevoodoo.blogspot.com/ cheers & have a nice weekend guys & gals | |

| Yeah, i gotta agree with the above people. Great paintjobs! The minelayer is... exquisite! Using many strong colours really make models look great (I mostly use shades of brown and grey, so they look like... well mud... and puke. Also, I cant possible dream of ever painting as good as you, mate ) |

| oh yes Oph, you can ! i have no special skills whatsoever. The only thing i've got when it comes to painting mini's is an almost endless patience and a hunger to learn from the truly gifted it all comes down to practice and knowledge i got many ideas from watching the dvd's from Jeremy Teboul. Watching live images is quite something else compared to reading an explanation or tutorial ! | |

| Then I must work on my patience a little more I guess Were I to partake in a competition, id probably try harder, but otherwise, I always get so excited I paint a little too fast Thanks for the encouraging words, mate. And once more, bloody brilliant models! |

| mmmm ... don't get the impression the quality has improved much ... oh well, here are some more mini's for my son (a darksoul is kind of a human hull that got infested with a daemon, is partly made up of metal ... something like that, right ? Well, ... imagine a witchhunter's band that got ambushed by a possessed warband most of them got slaughtered, a few of them got sacrificed .... but the dogs got caught by some lesser demons ... could this be the result ... ?

(french original name escapes me) http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/8515/hybridyou might find it on ebay or on the sell out of some shops I bought mine for 10 euros or so (the complete game WITH metal minis!!) at the french Ludikbazar site, but I just checked for you, and they no longer have it.
