Night Goblins and Chaos

So i started a Night Goblin warband and they just look so dull in plastic grey. I asked for idéas and half an hour later i had decided by myself White robes with brown shading. Time to dust off the white primer...

NOW you're talking about the EPITOME OF COOL...grubby, seedy, down trodden, but UBERCOOL! I do my Night Goblins & Ubergoblins [count as Orc, but COOLER] with bright red hoods & either golden brown or black tunics with a variety of colorful hose & shoes. That ogre is great, mudboy. The orc head works so well on that body.

Nice Ubergoblins

The orc head fitted almost perfect on the ogrebody, very little cutting required. I originaly made it for my Pit Fighter warband but it fitted perfect for an Ogre Bodyguard for goblins/orcs.

Oh my, i just realised that the banner on him needs some kind of motiv on it. That's going to be my first try at freehand

Seriously the white robe idéa didnt work so i cut my wrists open and dripped it all over the little green devils, voila; red robes.

It's really a pain shifting from BIG chaos marines to these little pesky things.

Somewhere around the 200th Guy in a 268 mini Austrian Napoleonic Brigade, I was commissioned to paint a LONG TIME AGO I TOO decided that white sucked...BIG TIME; I've since somewhat modified that view...somewhat. Admittedly I'm prejudiced toward Goblins in red, but the Little Lads DO look FINE. WELL DONE!

Haha cool! I'll always have a soft spot for gobbos! I do like the current figures, nice and diminutive, and the red robes and cloaks are a nice take on the little buggers.

I like it this way. Try to do a border in blue or black on their robes. Just to give some contrast.

hihi, I like them to It is really nice to see them in red instead of the usuall black/dark blue that is standard... Maybe I should redo my orc and goblin army

Entity does not compute! What is a border? I did a bit more shading on them as the robes looked dull and flat.

Border=Kanten af kåben min ven. Både i bunden men også ude ved ærmerne kunne du gøre det.

Sorry for the danish to all the non danes. But iw was the best way to describe what I meant with the border.

Maybe because I feel I have way to much orc and goblins already about 5000 points, and still counting...

Border = the edges of the sleeves and the bottom of the robe Don't know if I am any better at explaining it in english

I got it now, thanks It's a good idéa and i'll try it out soon.

The ogre is almost finished, just needs a bit of clean-up on the base and the banner needs some kind of motiv on it. I have never done any freehand so it's going to be something simple. Most likely the Ogre Kingdoms Great Maw symbol.

Freehands can be tricky, i would advise not wanting to do the whole freehand in one go, just one step at the time

hmm, the orc helmet looks exceptionally good on the orge!

I like the red robes for the goblins, very striking, I've never seen them painted so brightly.

Great Work, I love Night Goblins. I think that they are a fun choice, you get Squigs, and fanatics. They are also a chance to inject some humor into the games. I like that with Goblins and Orcs you can make some pretty funny mods, and it's ok.

I have to say that the red looks better, then the white would. The White would make them look like Klan's men, and White is always hard to work with, it makes a good accent color though.

After three games i've got a few more models to paint. My Big boss died so my Shaman took control of the warband and released his Snotlings from the cage.



I'll try doing some borders this evening and post some pic's later.
