I've never tried building anything like this before, and initially I had no idea what I was going to do.  I looked around for various carts and war machines for a suitable base, random suitable bits and pieces I already owned, and cool gubbins could I get hold of.  I ended up using a cheap, simple 'Wild West' wagon, the Warhammer 40k Chaos tank spiky bits sprue and a bunch of left over 40k Rhino tank parts from my Sisters of Battle.  I scribbled some very rough sketches of how I wanted it to look, then went ahead and stuck it all together.  It's not the neatest of jobs, but I'm quite happy with the result.

These photos are a bit poor, as they're taken with my phone.  I'll update this with better photos when I've painted the model and got some batteries for my camera!

The photos may be fuzzy, but I get the impression that is one UBERCOOL creation. It's sort of a Little Engine that could...cause grievous bodily injury. GREAT WORK...I'll look forward to clear photos!   thumbsup

More like the little engine that could....worship the devil (or any other devil or demon). Great conversion. Look forward to seeing it fully painted. Smile

I've finally had some time to start painting some stuff.  I've but some basic layers on the engine, now it needs neatening up and details picking out.  My Chaos Dwarfs have a fiery orange colour scheme.  It works nicely on the dwarfs, where a lot of the brightness is broken up by by beard, weapons, shoulder pads, etc but a bright orange demon-wagon looked a bit too bold, so it's been grimed up to soften the colour.  Here's a work in progress shot:

I'll post pics of the finished engine and the dwarfs when they're done. Unfortunately they've been pushed back on my painting schedule as they won't be needed til October and I've got minis to paint for some Necromunda games over he summer.

I've nearly finished my Delaques. Hopefully I'll be able to get some decent photos at tomorrow's games. I've still got to paint some Eschers a friend wants to borrow, after that it'll be back onto this thread's topic.

It's been a while since my last post here.  As well as the Necromunda, several of my friends started playing 40k again so I dusted off my Sisters of Battle and started work on them too.  Anyway, I've made a bit of progress with the ol' big hats.

Chaos Dwarfs - Chaos Engine Chaos_11

Here's my Sorcerer, a hobgoblin that I'm using to represent an Informer, and a dwarf henchman

Chaos Dwarfs - Chaos Engine Chaos_12

Here are a couple of simple conversions whose paint jobs are in progress.  The first is a Gaoler.  He's a Chaos Dwarf hero whose goofy-looking axe has been replaced with a Skaven packmaster's thing-catcher, perfect for snaring new slaves.  The Bull Centaur I got from eBay was a standard bearer.  The standard has been clipped and made into a hammer.  I've also removed his scimitar, and will be giving him a shield.

I'll get some more pictures when I've got more of the band finished.

I've been making more progress with these guys when I've had the time. Nearly got all of the (current) warband members done. I'll hopefully get some more painting time in tomorrow night to have them finished for Saturday's games. There shall be photos!
