| Hi everbody, since I finally managed to find & afford a daemon engine for my current Black Dwarf warband, I started to build the engine's model, which I have to field in our 6-player-match next saturday. Obviously the engine is based on a doom wheel with some maulerfiend tentacles from 40k and custom cages. All cages are attached via magnet, so I can exchange them for filled ones, once I get more slaves. But currently I lack some new ideas concerning the model. It has a capacity of 6 captured warriors, 4 cages are already there for normal-sized inhabitants. I'm unsure whether to build another big cage for large targets (captured by my hired sword) and where to place it or just leave the engine with the current cages. Additionally I thought about running a zombie or similiar model over. At this time it's not that demonic looking, so how about a brazen demonhead beneath the tentacles? Here you get some impressions of my creation so far:

| VERY IMAGINATIVE, CREATIVE, & COOL! That is an unique approach to the Beasty. Once you add the crew et al this is going to be a VERY IMPRESSIVE piece. Keep up the SPLENDID WORK! Perhaps you could add a cage in tow for additional/larger prisoners. | |

| Wow, as deafnala said, this is one big imaginative beasty, fantastic idea, and the movement in those tentacles looks very impressive, thumbs up! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! | You know, you could possibly consider the inside of the wheel as a cage for an unfortunate prisoner. Not sure how viable it is from a modelling standpoint, but there is certainly space inside for one or two! Plus, it would really fit in with the cruel nature of the Black Dwarfs. | |

Well, you never know. In the Skaven tongue, they read, "Death to all who come near," while in Black Dwarfish, it reads, "Pizza Rape". Confusion AND dismay to all who face them!

| I have to agree with the rest, this conversion is really well done. From idea to finished model it's really good! And about the skaven insignias, maybe they are just impressions left from skaven shields Crushed under the Might of the Chaos Dwarfs! and so on... | |

| I have to admit, I think the engine has too much of a skaven-ish feel to it. Copper/brass and green colours are really the stereotypical skaven colours (green for warpstone and copper and brass for... well... for copper and brass, I suppose). Combined with the fact that the main frame of the engine is Skaven in origin, I would have opted for a more soot-stained and fiery appearance, instead of taking brass and green.
But despite my nagging on the colours you've chosen, I'd say you applied them really well! The metal is done very nicely, and the wood looks very realistic too. Also, you did a great job on the conversion! I can imagine that it must have taken hours it, but the final result must have been worth the effort.
