VERY NICE! Looks like you have plenty of light & an ample amount of clutter for the proper creative atmosphere.

I'm sharing workspace with my girlfriend (read: I have to get rid of my stuff when I'm not using it) She's a teacher and have to have room to prepare class. Wich also explaine the christmas decoration...

EXCELLENT WORKSHOP! There's just the right amount of clutter for a creative mind & enough of a backlog of thingies to suggest, that they might at any moment, implode into the room. WELL DONE![b]

Hey I saw that photo over on L.A.F....looks just a cool here.
Anyone who roots for the Cleveland Indians is okay in my books.

Looking at all those desks and rooms stuffed with cool stuff I figured I'd better post a few pics of my hobby area here too (long overdue)...

My hobby room is situated on the top floor of our house (some would say attic) and is quite spacious and bright. Most, if not all, of the furniture is from IKEA (my wife works there) and is quite practical...

So, this is where the magic happens


My desk... As you can see, I've spent several hours tidying up You can catch a glimpse of my finished Airship, too. Check out my Stirland thread in the Painting and Modelling section for more pics...


My Mordheim board... The table can be moved and turned for optimal playability (the supports have wheels).



Two pics of my main gaming table measuring a whopping 1.8m x 2.4m... In the back you can see several cupboards, filled with dungeon pieces, books and models...

WOW! That is a SPECTACULAR workshop...spacious, well lit, cool stuff all over, it just lacks the tons of clutter I associate with creativity.

Well, I did tidy up before I took the pictures (seriously, it took me the better part of three days) Most of the time I have to clear space on my gaming table before we can play a game...

...you can sense the clutter ready to burst free at any moment.

For a little backstory, I work as professional Firefighter/Paramedic where I work 24 hour shifts, and I occassionally bring my workspace with me when I work. After 4pm we are pretty much cut loose to work on whatever we want so I came up with this quick kit workspace...

Of course as soon as the wife saw me packing it up she thought it was time to get rid of the "non-portable" workspace and fill it with her own nick-nacks...Sometimes good ideas get abused in ways not initially intended.

Anyway here is the portable workspace...
A good sized portable power tool case works great...


Opens up to reveal two sides with a flip divider that holds all the goodies in place during transport....


The smaller yellow case inside is my bitz box...I dont have many bitz so I dont need alot of space...still this one is getting close to overflow...You cannot really see it but there is a tube of milliput (stuff) and a small bit of greenstuff (color of money because it is both indispensible and costly)


And that is it...works great for me...maybe too compact for some of you who have loads of models in varying stages of paint...I tend to work one model at a time and then set it aside....

Thanks for looking...hope it gives some of you travelers a hint or two about something you can do too...this would be great for long trips and hotel stays....

VERY CLEVER use of materials on hand...I see someone besides moi uses egg cartons for mini storage.

My desk, I would take a photo of my shelves too, but the Renfield Cave is a mess at the moment, as it always is when I'm working on something.

LOVELY! Your workshop has the proper amount of clutter & general debris to denote the presence of a creative mind, unafraid of possible fire hazards. WELL DONE!

Had a big tidy and a rearrange of the rooms today.

VERY NICE! Looks like you have lots of room & light. FEAR NOT, it will soon return to a comfortably cluttered state...the work places of the creative always do.

One of the first things I noticed was not the nice and neat state but the bright orange "Hunter" books on your shelfs... This made me look and notice other World of Darkness books. How I miss playing those games
Great work space though!

I only have one cWod hunter book, the others next to it are slightly faded KoTE books, but well spotted none the less. the 2 shelves on the right of the picture are pretty much all wod books.

[size=24]LOVELY![/sizze] That is a true Haven for a Creative Mind; no matter where you look, there is some interesting thing to see. The cabinets are stocked to the verge of imploding into the room, & hint that they just may take over the entire apartment eventually. While it might send The Female in your life screaming into the night, it is a Thing of Beauty. VERY WELL DONE!
