If I may humbly give voice to some thoughts that I think would make this forum "better", I do believe this section is dedicated to that purpose
Unlike on some other fora here the NEW POST icon dissapears after you've logged out. So if I would log in and there are new posts but for some reason I do not read them at this point, logg out, and want to read these posts later then the new post icon is gone. On some other fora however that icon stays untill you have actually openend that thread/post. I think that is something very usefull that I miss on this forum. It also makes me miss certain wonderfull updates.
Would it be possible to make the new post icon on this forum work like that as well?

I had issues with this as well. It keeps me from checking in between when I might have time to read some threads, but not all. For this reason I didn't visit the forum for the past two weeks, because I only had very limited internet access during the holidays.

I've noticed that the "new" topic only remains flagged as such for a day on Google Forums; once it passes into a new day the "new" posts cease to be new. Lead Adventure Forum I've noted maintains posts as "new" until you've opened them or marked them read. I guess we're just going to have to live with it.

While we're on the subject, one new development I've noticed /been annoyed by is the e-mail notification of P.M.s received; e.g., I just got an e-mail that I had received a "new" P.M....it had been posted on Sunday. Anyone else having a similar experience.

Once upon I time I got notified whenever I got a new PM (and usually directly after this was the case), but for some reason unknown to me, this first got more scarce and then stopped altogether, so now I don't get any mails anymore.

TBMF uses a standard software that we can't adjust or modify. At least in no way I can think of right now.
