Gosh I feel messy after looking at some of these...



There's even clutter underneath the poor fellow

Now that's approaching the proper level of clutter! WELL DONE!

I cheated and tidied my space up a tad before I shot my pictures. It fluctuates in messiness depending on how many projects I've started and abandoned at the time

So having read the thread I must contribute.

this pic is about 2 months old, I've built a lightbox for photographs now so theres no blue backdrop taped to my desk anymore

Here's my workspace. I've got a small bookshelf in the cellar with old White Dwarfs on it, but this pretty much sums up my hobby space at the moment.



Messy, I know, but I know where everything is, and that's all that's important.

You have to have some sort of magical powers to keep your gaming area spotless. projects accumulate, paints get left out, the list never ends. I try and clean up my area when I'm starting a new project, but it never stays that way for long.

My workspace is down the basement and relatively clean.

That it is. Friends of mine really wanted to play but I could not find the original. So I bought another one on eBay. Two weeks later I found the original.

I'm jealous.....I need to find an ( affordable) copy...

when I first saw this post, I wondered why people would be interested
but seeing the number of posts, I thought, what the heck
so here's mine

I got the privilege of having a rather large attic
the wife and kids claimed a few closets, but all the rest is
mine mine MINE !!!!!!

got a rather large desk which holds books and stuff, a nice large working area on top of it and you should be able to make out the kind of cart which holds my paints and mini's I'm working on
on the other side I got the kitchen table with 2 little extra boards on which I'm currently working on bases, green stuffing, drilling holes & do some final cleanup before priming
I'm just on having daylight, so I rarely paint under artificial light. I seem to see less good when painting under a bulb, so I only do very basic stuff then.

In front of my TV/computer.

Otherwise I paint at the gaming club, will add the pictures on sunday.

@pascal: Now THAT'S what I'd call a GREAT workshop...lots of room & work surfaces, abundant lighting, AND enough clutter to feel comfortable working there.

I have a nice large desk my wife used to claim for a large part with stuff. Since it was only collecting dust I changed it into a nice workspace. Built myself a paintstation that I was lugging around the house and now it has a nice fixed spot here. With the new workspot I needed some good light and found a great desktop led light that is doing the job awesome.

NICE WORK BENCH! Looks like you've got it cluttered with ALL sorts of INTERESTING projects. HAPPY PAINTING/MODELLING!

Everyone seems to have such tidy workspaces. My painting corner is just a collage of chaos, death and destruction... Well, maybe just chaos.

Isn't it INCREDIBLE what obsenely SPACIOUS & DISGUSTINGLY neat workshops some of the Guys have? My own little shop of horrors & sleeping area [pictures somewhere or other in this thread] comes in at a hefty 7'X9' AND is SO CRAMMED with various & sundry minis, paints, foam, scenic stuff, et al that there is a definite possibility of an imminent implosion...it's as God meant a workshop to be.

We would probably have a heavily crammed work space if it were not for our 15 months old daughter... Before she came we could have our workspace in half of the apartment.

Now we have everything in locked drawers and each time we want to do something we put what we need on the kitchen table, at the end of the night we clean it all up again. If we wouldn't do that everything would be broken and spread across the apartment...

sounds like it's time to teach your daughter the value of minis/painting them?! can't start too early! hehe... nah, but that's a bummer.. I love not having to clean up - untill I reach the point where my dinnertable/desk/cabinets AND floorspace are all cluttered up...

I refer to cleaning my workshop as "finding the floor"...almost.

I am soooo longing for the time when we get our own house and to have a hobby room

And well, my daughter is a little to small yet, but now and then she gets a mini to play with that we don't care about to much or can repair easily... Or she clims our figure cabinet and steals some woodelves and throws them on the floor, I have several elves with broken bows now But I hope that at the age of 4 she know the basics and at the age of 6 she can play a full game with us
