After, what, two years? I got the feel to start painting again. The lighting makes it look more glossy than what it is.
Here's in the hopes that I'll get the rest of the crew done as well

Yarr! This looks ship shape! reminds me I need to get mine painted for an upcoming campaign. Might crack the paints out later. But Good Job!

I like to take my time as well. Old pegleg here took me roughly about 8 hours to finish. I'm also almost done with the first goblin, might even post a pic later.

Here we go. I'll go take a break. Next is either Meathook or Kooksum.

I actually painted this chap last thursday, but I've been too lazy to pick up the camera.

Next one to be painted will most likely be Meathook.

Here's Meathook in all his rusty, bare chested glory. Hard to take a good frontal pic of him since he's hunched so low.

A FINE LOOKING Band of Rogues...you created a totally unique & beautifully crafted group. VERY WELL DONE!

Stuff I still need to work out:
- The kaptain. Currently building one from the metallic ork nobz, but somehow I can't seem to find good hands from my collections.
- Squig herder. I'm trying to avoid using night goblin miniatures and keeping my goblins the size and shape of the 40k grots. So it's a bit problematic.
- Fanatics. Same issue with above.
- Troll. I have a river troll and I'd very much like to have an anchor as his bludgeoning weapon, but I'm not too confident about my sculpting skills. So I'm looking for a readymade anchor the right size.
- Ship. Perhaps a project for a later time.

Stuff that is bueno, but not yet done:
- Squigs (loads of them). Lack bases, but other than that should be ready for painting.
- Shaman. Just needs to be painted.
- Charging orc boy. Awaiting paint as well.
- Additional blunderbuss grot. Unpainted.

I recommend plastic Oger hands for the Boss if you can find some. There big swords are perfect for the Greeny in Charge!

Anchor - try looking for tacky plastic jewellery with a nautical theme (on eBay). I got a ship's wheel and an anchor that are in scale in one set for 99p.

awesome warband you have here dude, got loads of character. You have a good eye for parts too, the runt herd body you have used for the cook works really well as a pirate

Thanks for the anchor tip. Ebay seems to be full of that kind of junk. I only have to muster the courage to finally order something off there. I agree that the ogre swords are really nice for orcs. By hands I meant the whole arm and muscular ogre arms are a bit too much :p but I once again agree with you that the hands are about right for orcs.

Here's a little something I've been painting on the side.



Meet Reiklander noble Von Horst. Expert swordsman & tactician on a mission to mould his son into a man by taking him to the streets of Mordheim.
It's for a friend so don't worry, I'm still working on my orcs. My shaman is about 90% done so I'll be posting a pic shortly.
Finally sunny enough outside that I don't have to use that stupid lamp to take my photos!

That is an EXCELLENT looking mini...VERY WELL DONE!
Taking a little break from the usual is a refreshing experience; it allows you to return to your main passion with a rewed enthusiasm. Even I sometimes take a break form my Goblins...almost.

Back to using the glossy lamp again.

That is one of my favorite Citadel minis...he has such a sad expression. VERY NICELY DONE as always.

Great band so far! I would however advice you to crop your images using photobucket or similar, it really improves picture quality! And I love that green skintone.
