| The Dregs REALLY look good; VERY NICELY DONE! The crust on the pie actually looks appettizing although the filling leaves a little bit to be desired. The little Dreg looks like he went through a famine & the big Dreg looks like he caused it. EXCELLENT WORK! | |

Or is it me that have problems seeing properly? I didn´t realize that *sixth finger* until you pointed it out! But its only the end of the dagger, as Cianty said. - REKONE wrote:

| Updates, the hounds with bases done and a coat of light flesh: And one hour later...: I know, they are crappy now, but I think that citadel washes will solve it. | |

| Those are bloody brilliant, the dwarfs had my jaw in free-fall, but then I saw the painted Dregs, and it did a complete turnaround and is currently orbiting Mórrslieb...
And I fell for the sixth finger initially too...

/Maikacir Thank you! First I covered the entire mini with Gryphonne Sepia. Once dry, i kept adding washes over certain parts, mainly recesses of the mini (Baal Red, Purple, Mud, etc). Finally I re-touched certain spots to add contrast an highlights, mainly with white and very clear flesh.

| Great Stuff!
Love the dregs, and the darksouls. I find it hard to get the darksoul feel when using marauders but you have done it beautifully.
What are you planning on using the hounds for in-game? They look killer

Alex I will use them in a undead warband (one of these infinite projects with ultra-slow development). BTW, i keep working on the chaos warband: Little update, i know. The skin is very pale because i´m planning to use washes on them. The metallic colour is Vallejo Bronze - first time i use it, i think it will look great once finished.

| Amazing work. I tried to make a cobblestone base with Milliput (superfine white) but the stuff made a mess all over my hands and tools, and was way to sticky to sculpt. Any tips for using that material?
Also, may i go ahead and request a tutorial for the marauder skin method when you finish, please?

Also, may i go ahead and request a tutorial for the marauder skin method when you finish, please? I also find Milliput much difficult to use than GS. Water actually dissolves Milliput, so it can be a real mess because you need to wet your tools/fingers to work. I put a blob of Milliput on the base and smooth it, with my finger/tool dipped in water. Don´t worry if you cover the entire base with water, you can always leave it alone until it´s dry or dry it with paper tissue, etc. Once the excess of water is removed, i start modelling the cobblestone with any tool (there is no need of complicated/tecnological sculpt thingies). At this point the cobblestone tends to look like pure crap, but dont worry: wet your finger and carefully smooth the entire base to avoid strange textures and crappy effects on the Milliput. Now you should have the basic structure and can start the fun part, texturing! You can use your fingers, your nails, knives, sculpting tools... anything. A tip: use a hard brush to create texture (I use an old nail-cleaning brush). Blah blah blah.... I will write down a little explanation on the marauder´s skin, if I remember it...

| Oswor - I'd missed this thread before so I'm really glad to say now: This stuff is AWESOME! Very nice sculpting (I love mash-ups between different ranges like your Dregs) and exquisitely beautiful painting. I shall be following your work closely from now on!
