New Empire Units

I suppose some of you have already seen these, but for those of you who haven't...

New Empire Captain


New Empire Archers


Now these two are amazing! Especially lucky for me.

I was thinking the Captain as my Ostalnder Captain, Hammer, Sword and Brace o' Pistols. Also got the opportunity to slap on the Heavy Armour and Helmet combo. So a downright awesome figure for my Elder.

The Huntsmen are perfect for my Jagers, sneaky and rural looking. Nice set of bows and detail pieces. They would take some very minimal converting to give them that Ostland feel.

I guess with that lot I've yet to cover:
1 Blood Brother
3-5 Ruffians
2 Ogres

I would like those archers if it wasn't for the huge puff jacket sleeves and the crotch area. Realy not fond of the crotch area.
Apart from that I like them, although they wouldn't fit in with my warband. The pheasants pretty cool.

Holy mother of God! Cool stuff The Empire is my faverat WFB army this makes want too get more!I do think thay would make good Kislevites too

I need those models! the new great swords are awesome as well, would make great blood brothers or general mercenaries. I want to start an ostlander warband too, or maybe averlander... I just can't decide!

COOL STUFF! I hadn't seen the Captain before; he's a tad more heavily armored than the usual Mordheim Fearless Leader type, but for us fluff over function types he IS perfect.
The "new" Hunters look a lot like the "old" metal Empire Archers. I REALLY like the Renaissance look of the Empire; it sets it apart from the normal Medieval look of most Fantasy minis, AND fits with the dark image of GW's background [the Renaissance DID give us the Inquisition afterall ].
Once more ONLY an extreme lack of $s is saving me from adding YET MORE minis to a staggering backlog of "Things To Be Done". Being broke CAN be a Blessing at times.

Man, these are so cool! Definetly going to get the archers, and GW says they've got an arrow-filled orc mini in the box! (And my Empire army already has enough hunstmen.)
