Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere! New pictures are lovely! - Admin Tom wrote:

What you need for your gaming board is usually called "Styrodur". It's a very homogenous type of styropor, extremely light, yet very hard. The cool thing about it, is that it is furthermore very easy to cut with a sharp modelling knife and very easy to engrave/carve. Every large home improvement store has it! It usually comes as roughly 0,6x1,2m plates (pink or white) and is used in construction to insulate walls in buildings and houses.
Here in Austria it is called "Styrodur Isolierplatten" and I bought it at OBI, which is a store that I think exists in Germany aswell. Maybe that helps you Erkwin.
Another cool sidenote: If you buy 2 plates, you (usually) have a perfect 1,2x1,2m Mordheim table, the perfect size for a 2-4 player gaming board! (That's the size of my table).
It's rather cheap too! I bought mine at 5€ a piece. So 10€ in total.
In my opinion this stuff is worth it's weight in gold! The nec plus ultra for making gaming tables.
NP... I did it first =) | |

| Bloody brilliant! That Priest is awesome! Any chance of letting us know how you made that? Or is it a GW model that I'm unfamiliar with?
Especially love the leaf litter on the ground around the last pic of the Witch Hunter.

I use a pre-textured foambord from a train modelling shop, which I "scalp" with a modelling knife for it's texture. I then glue that thin layer of texture onto the base. _________________ | |

| The minis are beautiful, & the scenery is spectacular, but comination of the two is much greater than the two elements taken separately. It transends mere words; it's a story told without words. Very evocative, extremely theatrical, well done, Tom. | |

| it will take me years before I've read all threads here ... Tom, what can I add to the above ? Your models are beautifully painted, what I saw of your gaming board knocked me out of my socks (I would pay money to have one like that !!!)and this forum is a continuous inspiration. Thanks for making it all happen ! Keep up the good work ! It is much appreciated. off to find a thread about serious board making ... | |

| Great work, the priest is my fav. The colors of the witchhunters and flagellants are well chosen. You've chosen the old metal flagellants, great choice. The scenery is absolutely fabulous, I love it. | |
