| @ lord xi: First I painted it tin bitz, then I washed it devlan mud (I wash the base collours of golds, metals, reds and browns in one go), then I highlight with shining gold and then I add some last highlights with shining gold mixed with mithril silver. I hope its of some use. | |

| Your band is shaping up ever so nicely sir! I really rather like the flaming skull hand thing on your sorcerer. Quite confused about where his head/face is going. At the moment he's ALL hat!! - Quote :
- @werekin: I am making all the models I need to play with the black dwarf rules to, I even started on a sorcerer model to (updats next week I think). The problem is that we play regular mordheim and no BTB (sorry man Wink ) and we all like a gaming table with loads of terrain and high buildings, so I cant drive around with the slave cart. And I think the army looses one of its coolest aspects that way.
Using the Black Dwarfs list will likely be no less of a thrill without the use of an Engine of Chaos. When we developed the warbands for BTB, we did consider that they would be even better if we took into account the original setting. On top of playing Border Town Burning campaign games we tried a load of other stuff out so that we could find as many ways as possible to make the new warbands suitable for Mordheim. This began when I ran a Nemesis Crown campaign. We could not include the Marauders of Chaos list in that release because it was reserved to be part of Border Town Burning, but anyone who has read any of the Storm of Chaos related publications like Swords of the Empire by Dan Abnett or Valnir's Bane by Nathan Long, will be aware that there is an incredible presence of Kurgan warbands in and around the provinces. Marauders of Chaos were played throughout that campaign and we deemed them very suitable indeed. Before running a Border Town Burning campaign, I ran sequences of Mordheim games with new warbands and old being used against one another. This includes the warrior monks, the ogres and the children of darkness. Although some of these games did employ the despicable Engine of Chaos, many did not. Some games were played especially to trial the Mechanical Suit. Overall we deduced that the warband was just as much fun to play with the Engine as it was without. The main reason that the Engine remained as a part of the warband list for Chaos Dwarfs was because it supported the Lure of Fortune objective in an exciting way that contrasted nicely to the use of traditional vehicles used in Empire in Flames. One of the thing that I am hopeful will occur following the release of Border Town Burning, is that folks will pick up on the idea of using objectives in their campaigns. I would love to see the Border Town Burning objectives inspire similar new 'adventure seeds' that will thread into games of Mordheim. I believe that there is great scope to have objectives used in an Empire in Flames campaign etc. Regards, Werekin.

| INCREDIBLE! They ARE TRULY nasty looking minis. The painted Lads [are there going to be any Lassies? ] turned out GREAT. The blood & gore splattered weapons on the second two are chillingly well done. I REALLY like your choice of color, & the metallic work IS SPECTACULAR. The Wizard, Bull Centaur, & Gaoler show GREAT potential. AND the bases are VERY cool. I'm REALLY enjoying watching your Band of Nasties develope. EXCELLENT WORK! GREAT POST! | |

| I love the look of your henchmen. Wonderful job on them. The rusted, worn down armor, the blood and gore on them. A perfect portrayal of my dark ID. Job well done. | |

| Thanks a lot! @ Pathfinder Dubstyles: Cool you like the skin tone, I had some trouble finding a cool collour. First I mixed some charadon greynate (dont know the exact names ) with Talarn Flesh. For the highlights I mixed some comando khaki in the mix, and than I just added more and more in the mix for each highlight. Good luck! | |

| Thanx again every one! @Chad: The blood is painted with thamia clear red and when its almost dry I use a old brush stipple over the blood with a dry brush. Then I mix clear red with black ink and do the same. And also: The warband is finished !!! The gaoler The sorcerer And the bull/boar centaur! | |

| Incredible! Awesome work!
So with the Bull Centaur, the Gaoler and the Sorcer they do look like a Black Dwarf warband and not just a "counts-as" Dwarf Treasure Hunters warband...
