Ok, so as the new guy, I figured I'd start by showing what I already have done.

I really like how grungy the orcs look...like they're used to administering a good ol' fashioned beating to their opponents.

What colors do you use for their skin? And how many layers is that?

@DeafNala: Thanks for the very kind words, and I think I have a few more pics for you, maybe later today..

@Snyder_7: Alas, I have yet to play any games, even though these boyz are several months old. The skin is fairly simple: Graveyard earth, Brown wash, Graveyard Earth again, then gradually mix in Rotting flesh as you highlight further. I think the Boss, which is probably the one with the most layers, have about six layers on the face. The arms have fewer.

@Ashton: The Troll is a bog-standard Chaos Troll, but almost everyone else is converted to some degree.

@Tortiou: Thanks, the bases are something of a chore, but the effect is great in the end. I don't have any Gobbos yet, but I have plans... Squigs are a possibility.

Fantastic warband, a fest for the eye

I just noticed we are using very similar colors on our paving stones; another instance of Great Minds flowing in the same channels [Okay,in my case it's more of a gutter ]. So......... COOL BASES!

Great job! A very nice colour scheme! And yeah, now all you need is a bunch of Gobbos (and maybe Squigs).

I make them myself. Greenstuff on a regular base, then I carve the spacing between the cobblestones with a spatula for cleaning nails.

I love the subtle green you've gone for with your band, what colours do you use?

If ever I can get my Orcs to look half that good, i would be in heaven! You made me pick up my old WHFB Orcs again to make a warband out of them. I switched completely to Dwarfs since I have 40k Orks, but I decided to keep a few fantasy Orcs for Mordheim.

It was Banes Orc's on the Warhammer-forum that inspired this.

I was wanting to try a different color scheme on my orcs, if you dont mind I will steal it from you. They look Great!
