Thanks for the kind words, guys. This next week is already quite booked so I won't put much work into the warband but I'll get back on it as soon as I can.

Here's a very modest update. I've already had these done for some time now but I'm quite happy with how they turned out. It's my mercenary ogre, Dovregubben, and a new prospective dreg. He's from the marienburger warband but I've always thought he had that malcontent look on his face. Smile

The coach is undergoing work at the moment. I hope to post some new pictures of it during next week.

LOOKIN' GOOD...so to speak! Your choice of colors, brushwork, & bases are OUTSTANDING. The Ogre's dark flesh tones look TERRIFIC...I had thought of a dark skin shade for the Big Guys before. VERY WELL DONE!   thumbsup

Looking good from this distance, though I could use some Closeups to see them properly.

Thanks guys.

Grimscull, you can use the link underneath each picture to view it in higher resolution. I'm hesitant to take an actual close-up picture, though. It tends to display the... erm, flaws in my painting technique. The human eye can't get that close, anyway.

It's time for another update. This time there's yet another new dreg and also some WIP pictures of the opulent coach.

https://i18.servimg.com/u/f18/17/76/48/91/coach310.jpg

I'm not happy with how the golden roof has turned out. I'll remove the paint and try something else.

Anyway, here's the new dreg. The miniature is Hugo le Petit, one of the Robin Hood lookalikes that GW produced from way back.

And here he is with my other two dregs. They're quite a human bunch now, unlike GW's original visual for dregs. Smile

Hugo & Friends, along with that IMPRESSIVE Coach, look SPLENDID. The Coach has a Cinderella feel to it that suits your Little Girl Vampire perfectly. AND Hugo looks WONDERFUL with his new choice of colors. GREAT WORK all around!   thumbsup

The horses work well with this coach, where are they from? Also Hugo is a nice addition to your warband.

Grimscull, forgive me for completely missing your last question. The horses are from Perry Miniatures' napoleonic line. Here's the set: https://www.perry-miniatures.com/product_info.php?cPath=23_28_72&products_id=2729&osCsid=mq0ipgg7idqkfclrb60fv05m10

I've had a long string of busy weekends so there hasn't been much time for me to work on the warband, but it's slowly improving still. I'll have an update before too much longer. Smile

This thread is way overdue for an update, and here it finally is.

I've added a warlock to the band. The paint scheme is a bit standard but works well, in my opinion.

https://i21.servimg.com/u/f21/17/76/48/91/warloc10.jpg

https://i21.servimg.com/u/f21/17/76/48/91/warloc11.jpg

https://i21.servimg.com/u/f21/17/76/48/91/warloc12.jpg

And here's the coach. It didn't turn out as neat as I had hoped. It became apparent that it originally wasn't meant as a miniature to be painted as the definition and lines between different fields were rather soft and vague. I also got a little bit overzealous with gap-filling and the subsequent filing. However, since when does anything have to be clean in Mordheim? Smile

Overall I'm happy with it, although I might do some more work around the edge of the base.

And here's the coach with its owner.

https://i21.servimg.com/u/f21/17/76/48/91/coach610.jpg

I've been trying to get a good picture of the entire warband but I can't get the camera to focus on more than a single depth. I think I'm gonna have to reach out for some help with this...

Great progress. Nicodemus turned out just fine, I like the greys. The brown cape could use some more shades and maybe a highlight imo.
Concerning the coach: If you don't like the procession, maybe you can haggle with the coach-trader a bit lol!
Are the white parts going to stay white?

The coach looks really spiffy. As no one knows what it should or could look like if it were cast better. If it had an in-game role there even seems to be room for coachmen and such to ride fore and aft.

The Nicomdemus model turned out well, too.

Thanks for the comments!

@Grimscull, I've heard the same input about the warlock's cloak from a few places. I might go back to give it a do-over when the mood strikes.

The colours on the coach are all done, though. The white is actually ivory but the picture doesn't capture it very well.

@Von Kurst, it could be interesting to stage a scenario around the coach in some fashion. I don't have a model to show it but the driver would actually be located on top of one of the horses. One is saddled and the other isn't.

Edit: The hardest part with painting the coach was the golden detailing that lies on top of the white fields. I like to think that I'm pretty accurate with a brush but the seams between the flat fields and the raised parts was very difficult to get right. It's currently not as neat as I had at first hoped to make it but I got tired of going back and forth due to all the minuscule stray mishaps.

At this point the only thing left to paint in the warband is the leader. I've been putting it off for so long...

I come with an update that's not entirely relevant to this thread. I decided to paint up the captain of my prospective Marienburgers. I wouldn't want to start a new thread just to post this in case it doesn't go any further but if the idea grows to fruition I promise I'll make a new thread for it. Smile

I'm pretty happy with the colours, even though it is still pretty grimy in my usual way of painting. I need to take down the glossiness on some parts as well.

She's from Avatars of War, right? Is she actually finished? I ask this because I cannot see any highlights or shadows but I also know your other stuff so I know you can do pretty nice things with a brush.

Cheers, guys!

Grimscull, she is indeed from Avatars of War. It's the Swordmaster of Lusia. She's actually painted in exactly the same way as I've done my other models, it might be an inherent difference in how brighter colours come out in regards to my style. I'll never stop saying that all my painted models look better in person and in natural light, though.

Thanks BK!

Two more warriors join my undead warband. The miniatures are both taken from other bands to give some more variation.

The first is Boyg, formerly a pit fighter specializing in the undead fighting style. He got a bit too carried away with his style and ended up running away from the pit to find his true place among the ghouls of Mordheim. I'll be using him as either a dreg or a ghoul hero depending on what feels right at the time.

https://i68.servimg.com/u/f68/17/76/48/91/boyg310.jpg

The second is Solveig who will serve as either a necromancer or warlock.
