| I don't really frequent King's Hobby too much. I heard quite a few years ago that they made a big deal about being a train and model shop and looked down their noses at gamers. That was a long time ago though, and may have been an exaggeration to start with... | |

| I would say King's was mostly models & railroad stuff...good source of brushes & scenery things. They do have a couple of game tables & some minis of various types on display. They were also really enthusiastic about my stuff. Over at Dragon's Lair they weren't interested in seeing it...so we left it in the car. | |

| Ooohhhh, Shroomies! The big violet one looks sooo awesome, nice blending al. Great to hear that the folks at kings enjoyed your work, wish i could get there, i envy them for it. Like mom said, its a shame that all that water is in between.
For how long will it stay at kings? Are there games going on on those, or just for display?
Again, great work al! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! Bobby! Bob Parkhurst: [enters] My lord? Lord Flasheart: I want something. Bob Parkhurst: Take it! [she undoes her shirt - exeunt]

| Thanks, floedebolle! The pieces only visited King's for the day & then returned to their dusty little tables here. King's Hobby got its name by the way from the street its on: Konig Street...the Hill Country of Texas has a very high percentage of Folks of German origin. | |

| Yeah, Dragon's Lair, in many ways has just gotten WAY too big for its own good. I don't think I would ever be interested in trying to host a game there, unless it was some kind of tourney. Have you tried Emerald Tavern on Burnet and 183? Small, and an interesting atmosphere. | |

Have you tried Emerald Tavern on Burnet and 183? Small, and an interesting atmosphere. I think Dragon's Lairs main focus is the Comic Books/Graphic Novels with minis & games as an alternate income source. The Staff seems intent on being or appearing cool...they haven't a clue. I haven't tried Emerald Tavern yet...sounds good.

| Yeah, give them a shot. They're right around the corner from DL. I don't know if they even do comics at all. Pretty much their sole focus is gaming. Not a big inventory for sale, but they do have a bar for those that want to enjoy a few brews while gaming a their tables. | |

| Even though I no longer drink, that does sound good...DL is the easiest of the hobby stores to get to & from. My long ago war games club had their games in the basement of the Mai Tai Bar; SO Emerald Tavern should feel homey to moi. | |

| I don't drink either, which is why I've only been by there once. Not sure how they handle minors since they're a "tavern." Minors might not be allowed. | |

Not sure how they handle minors since they're a "tavern." Minors might not be allowed. I can't imagine War Hammer or 40K without all those socially challenged teenage boys...sounds WONDERFUL though.

| Well having just now snapped out of a bit of a creative slump, I've started finishing the details on The Shanty Town. I'll post photos as I go along to keep from being overwhelmed. SO... ...here's a couple of views of Mid Way & High Street: The sign at the Hole In The Wall: The Under Way: AND some of the residents by The Tree of Wohoo (the next board over will be a Graveyard & Goblin building materials cache): Today I will be adding some candles & maybe a few more mushrooms; photos will be forthcoming. In the meanwhile your kind comment & critiques would be a welcome source of motivation. | |

| Although it has yet to be used, I think it will be fun to play on. The different levels add swashbuckling potential. Maybe we can get together for a test game some time. | |

| Definite possibilities. Addendum: just in case, I better dig out the rules book & see if I remember any of it...highly unlikely.

| Whilst the whole update is as per usual very droolworthy material, those last mushrooms, the purple ones ar quite possibly my most favourite so far... Those orange dots look just like they're over-ripe zits ready to burst at the merest touch. Best not carry around any mirrors because you'll never be able to clean 'm properly afterwards | |
