step aside if knocked down

hello all,

following situation: A model gets knocked down in close combat and is then hit by another enemy model in cc. Can said model make use of the step aside skill while knocked down? (as in "rolling around on the floor to avoid being hit"?

I'd rather say no, but I can't find any according section in the rulebook...

Well it says in the rulebook that if you are knocked down you cannot fight in hand to hand combat, hence I would infer that you could not step aside since you would be actively taking part in close combat by doing that. Just my opinion though ^^

We play that you may not, but it is more of a will of the group kind of thing, not based on any ruling.

What other funny situations could arise if ppl got to use skills when knocked down, just because they specifically dont say "you cant do this". I would say that unless a skill says "you CAN do this" I wouldnt allow things that go against the main rules which state that you cannot fight when knocked down.
