The Bergjaegers didn't turn out as nice as the Elf Ranger, but I am satisfied with the results.

FINE looking Woodsy Types there! VERY NICE choice of colors...suggests their role as skirmishers & hunters. I REALLY like your painting style. VERY WELL DONE!

your painting is awsome!!! just wandering which kits you made everything thing from... i reconise a few like the Bergjaegers are archers but one has a great sword head and the elf is a gladeguard...

@Knightei: The captain and mountainguard were made from the Empire Greatsword kit. The halberds are from the Empire State Troop kit. The Bergjaegers were made from the Empire Archer kit. And yes, one of the heads comes from the Greatsword kit. The Elf Ranger, with the exception of his sword blade, is from the Glade Guard kit. While painting him I screwed up the sword to the point where I had to cut it off and replace it with a blade from the Empire Militia kit. The torso of the youngblood is from an OOP Empire Handgunner kit. His head is from the Empire Archer kit. His legs are Empire Militia. The marksman with the blunderbuss is made mostly from the Empire Militia kit. His head comes from Greatsword kit. Finally, scattered throughout the warband are various pouches and doodads that come from the Bretonnian Men-at-arms kit.

The next two models on the painting bench are my captain and youngblood.

COOL MINIS! The Captain in particular looks the part of a hard as nails, grizzled Old Warrior. The War Band is shaping up VERY WELL!

You may, but wait for me to put them on proper bases. I am going to mount them on the same sculpted bases I used for my Knights of La Mancha.

Very nice minis. Your color scheme is very clean and desirable. Have you tried priming white? You may like it more.
By the way, where did you get that fat guy? I mean what brand is it from? It fits perfect in my warband.

My captain model isn't anything fancy. However, once he gets some better equipment and XPs under his belt, I plan to upgrade him to the Empire Captain with Gory Sword model. This model will look nice in yellow and black. Also, this will be most appropriate as one of our players intends to field an Orc & Goblin warband.

I have been wanting to use that for Mordheim ever since it was first released. I never got around to do so, so I'd love to see you do it, Koyote!

You say you are not fully satisfied with the berjeagers, i share the sympathy.

To me, the yellow satchel bags just seem odd. Obviously you have went to great lengths to keep each area of the model a different color, and to not have any like colors touch. This is a time tested and effective technique, and your choice of yellow is natural in following this maxim.

May i suggest though, that you use the dark brown of the quiver straps for the belt as-well. you could then use the tan of the belt for the satchels without muddying the look of your distinctive painting style.

Other than that, i find your color selection and painting style to be exemplary and inspirational.
