That is the FINEST looking collection of disease ridden vermin I've ever seen. You've done them up to putrid perfection, ESPECIALLY the Censor Bearer. WELL DONE!

Thank you very much people, Eliazar that glossiness is probably because I tried making the bandages over his back look bloody, maybe I went a bit overboard lol! I've decided that I really don't like how I painted the smoke either, I'm gonna try redoing it with layers rather than dry-brushing. I'll try to get a close up of the cat at some point but one of my housemates is borrowing the memory card for my camera
Rat ogre still to come, he's not a priority though as he's not in the starting line-up...

Ah resurrection! Thanks guys! Yeah the rat ogre is painted actually, keep forgetting to take photos of him/her/it though...I'll try to get that done today and then you'll also get the back story behind this warband and what they're doing in Mordheim...

Ok so here's the rat ogre after all this time lol! Excuse the poor lighting, I'm not at uni so have to make do with a filament lightbulb that makes everything look a bit yellow!

The Cult of the White Rat:
As a devoted disciple of the horned rat and student of the art of plague, Billious had spent many long hours poring over the grim pages of the Liber Bubonicus trying to extract as much of the putrescent knowledge contained within. When news spread about the destruction of the man-thing city of Mordheim something stirred in his mind for he remebered translating a passage that spoke of a great white rat which would awaken when destruction came to a city of the world of men in the form of a two tailed herald, this rat would go on to spread pestilence across the land. He consulted one of his kin, a zealous plague priest named Botch and they decided to take it upon themselves to form a small warband and travel to this city.
After many days in the city and many skirmishes they heard rumours of a giant white rat-beast terrorising those few who had decided to venture in Mordheim. Soon after they came across a group of man-things attempting to fend off the brutal attack of an enormous albino rat-ogre and so knowing that they had found what they were looking for aided it in its fight against the humans.
Since that day they have simply followed the mindless beast in its rampages through the ravaged city, resting only when it does and doing their best to protect and bless it in the name of the horned rat, it tolerates their presence for many years of torture at the hands of the pack masters in Clan Skryre conditoned him not to harm these tiny creatures.
What the rest of the warband do not know however is that billious has since reread the passage in the Liber Bubonicus more closely and discovered that his original translation was wrong, the passage spoke instead of a great white city plagued by a swarm of two tailed rats. For the moment he is keeping this to himself, the city of Mordheim provides him ample time to practise his arts and to collect te shining green stones that power his spells.

A poorly written and very long bit of fluff for you there, hope it's not too much effort to read!

These are some awesome photos. The minis, the scenery - disturbingly beautiful I like this a lot (and I still don't like Skaven at all!)

The Rat Ogre was WELL WORTH the wait; double-post to your heart's content if in so doing you grace our humble Forum with such WORKS of WONDER! His Big Rattiness goes beyond just being a fine scupt that has been beautifully brought to life by a great piece of painting, IT LOOKS REAL which a pretty scarry concept. EXCELLENT WORK!

The Group Photo is fantastic; it ties it all together. AND I LOVE the backgound story; a well written narrative that adds EVEN MORE depth to the War Band. This IS a TRULY great posting. BRAVO!
