Jackanory's Clan Pestilens starting warband complete!

My warband's missing a plague priest and a rat ogre (both of which I'm currently scratch sculpting) but I've painted all the rest. The WIPs are here

Veeery nice looking warband, Jackanory!
They look like really DIRTY rats. I had some similar idea for my Pestilens Clan, but you've done it far better. This is the best Pestilens warband I've ever seen.
And this book (of the sorcerer) is really nice!

I Love the way you paint it (love the dirty look of them, good job man!), and I love the models, can't wait to see it finished (The warband, that is)

You REALLY captured the feel of the Pestilens lads. I LOVE the little guy with the peg leg & serious attitude problem & the one with the book & the leader & you get the idea. The bases ARE JUST BEAUTIFUL; they REALLY set the mood & bring the whole band togeher. EXCELLENT WORK; keep'em coming!

Individual pictures are uploading to Photoshop now but I have to go into uni now (yawn!) so they won't be up 'til tonight. SirLeon I may have a few tricks up my sleeve in the near future, I don't have any rats in my roster but I feel like modelling a couple and I have a wicked idea for one!
The key to grimeyness, if anyone was wondering, is gloss varnish mixed with snakebite leather and black!

Incredible sculping skills MrJack.Your rat ogre and homemade monk are awesome.I hope someday I can do something like that.The band is original and very cool.I wasn't a fan of skaven,specially the clan pestilens, but you change my mind with that awesome minis.Congratulations!!!

Yep, they're perfect for this warband.

OOPS, that wasn't a peg leg on the Plague Monk , but COOL nonetheless.

The close up shots ARE terrific; NOW I get a better idea of JUST how nicely the little sucker turned out. Again WELL DONE!

I finally took a couple of minute to have a closer look at the WIP pieces. WOW !

They ARE great pieces. The Rat Ogre is SO delightfully gross & Nurgley; JUST PERFECT. AND the new Plague Monk is INCREDIBLE; it's SO MUCH better than GW's it would be tempting to suggest doing the whole Warband that way. AND it looks like Mordheimers Avatar returned to life as a Skaven! VERY WELL DONE! I salute you [smashes hand into screen ]!

DO NOT tempt me! I was seriously tempted to make massive GS adjustments to the whole load of them at the start but then laziness won out and I didn't bother I don't like how muscly all the GW skaven are, it just doesn't suit and their segmented tails look like worms! I think for the moment I'm gonna leave them how they are, I've got my Africana beastmen to move onto as well as an alternative take on the cult of the possesed, not to mention an idea I've got for a chaos centigor aligned to one of the dark gods and...and...and,,,

So here's the censer bearer that's been so long in the making, I think after all this time however he's not received too good a paint job, there's just something undefinable that he seems to be lacking. It's mainly around the bandages that I had the most problems. Anyway see what you think!
