| So this is my first ever attempt at scenery, don't know if I'll make any more though as it's very time consuming and not as fun as making the actual minis! The concept of this is that it's like the storage buiding for one of Mordheim's zoos with an attached room for the owner to live in (the yellowy room). there's also a walled off cell which is where the giant was kept when he wasn't being "shown" If you can imagine a normal zoo layout but with a big stage like in King Kong where the giant would be brought out! So I've finished the first Story, just have to paint the roof and attic now, C&C encouraged! More angles of the first story: - Spoiler:
Plus more pictures of the whole construct before painting began: - Spoiler:

| Woe, I like it alot! Nice weathering, verry grim. Maby you could add some bars or a zoo sign, because i didnt realy saw it was a zoo building. Can't wait to see the attic. Have you ever posted some picture's of your skaven? they look mean and scarry! | |

| Yeah I realise it doesn't look very zoo like but it's just supposed to be an out building where the zoo owner lives and keeps supplies in and also where the giant is kept at night. I might add a few bits here and there like some hay in the attic and some sacks and stuff to make it look more like a storage building! And yeah there are work in progress pictures of my skaven here and finished pictures here | |

| an easy option might be to use some cocktail sticks and a top and bottom of foamboard to make the cages, simple enough to do and adds to that building _________________ | |

| Phooey my first reply went into the Ether; so once more into the breech... VERY COOL STUFF! AND what do you mean about "not making anymore"? This is GREAT STUFF! Get with the program, Gumball! The building is a fine piece of modeling, AND the maze of interior rooms/walls make for an EXCELLENT gaming piece. It's a PERFECT hangout for your RatBoys! The thing I like best about making buildings/terrain is that, unlike the minis which someone else designed, it is ALL my own creation. It's much like your GS sculpts. If you adopt this point of view, the project MIGHT seem less odious. PLUS, look at all the compliments you'll glean. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| That's not a bad idea about making a couple of cages actually, I could just chuck a couple in the attic or something! I don't think I've ever been called a gumball before Deaf lol! Much as I enjoyed the actual building of the piece I just didn't like having to paint all those big, open bits of wall. You may notice that I've added a couple of bits of graffiti and a trail of blood (which actually goes all the way around the wall and ends with a big pool of blood on the other side of the wall) to concede to my need to paint small things!!! I do have a lot of foamcore left over which I should probably use really, maybe when I've finished all the minis I'm working on now (like that's ever gonna happen!) | |

| Only kidding about the Gumball thing...sort of. Scrolls, Broad Sheets, stuff like that [see the stuff surrounding my Avatar for an example] are also cool to add to walls. An observation I've noted in other post is that the Empire folks like to nail their beliefs in a printed form on ANYTHING that doesn't object TOO strenuously. | |

| That's great, Jack! I like it a lot! The paint job is superb making this piece very atmospheric. It has Mordheim written all over it. | |

| Hey Jack, looking pretty good. I look forward to adding to the table when we all finally get together to play! I have a selection of cast barrels and crates which you are welcome to if you want to add more clutter, though it probably doesn't need much more, if any. looks like a good playing piece, plenty of corners for cover and holes for shooting out of! Very nice for a first piece, I'll look forward to seeing more pictures and the roof and attic. I would just say make sure there's enough open space in the upper levels to be able to reach in and position minis.
Cheers ta. | |

Cheers ta. Only just realised that you wrote this reply! As you mentioned it is a little awkward to put minis in the attic and move them around but it's a bit late now as it's all finished, hopefully we'll be able to get around that somehow! (My rat ogre doesn't even fit in on the ground floor, but then again he is pretty massive!) Hope it fits in on the Mordboard as well, 'fraid it doesn't conform to the size specs as I started building it before I knew! Oh well! As far as barrels etc go I think I'm gonna leave it for the mo but thanks very much for the offer! | |
