There are five new Mushrooms ready for paint AND a Mushroom Witch nearing completion:








Today I hope to finish green stuffing the Witch...among other things.

ANd, later the same day, the Mushroom Witch, with the exception of some touch up work & detailing, is done:

Thanks, Gatlag. The Witch was a bit larger than I originally intended, but, overall, I am happy with the result. I am happy you like her.
I have started on six more including a smaller Witch & an ambulatory Mushroom. I am hoping to start doing actual miniatures again, I will probably start with some larger/Ogre sized pieces.

An Ogre is always nice! Like to see that!

I have quite an array of bigger miniatures to chose from. They include ogres. half giants, & trolls with a genie & an efertti for allure.

AND, in a rare spree of productivity, I finished sculpting six more Mushrooms & twenty or so smaller ones. These include another albeit smaller Witch & a ambulatory Puff Ball Infested Mushroom inspired by ZeroTwentythree of LAF:

The general consensus is that the puff ball infested Mushroom looks like a cross between a ballerina & Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Despite my best efforts to reduce it, the Vault of Pack Rattiness contains far more miniatures than I can possibly hope to paint in my lifetime...I'm looking for a fifty year extension.

Fifty years!?! Now I'm really curious to your hoard!

I figure I have around 1,500 miniatures yet to be started & a fair number that have been based & primed.

I figure I had about twice that amount in the Vault before I started thinning it out prior to having to move back North after Cap'n John was admitted to a nursing home.
I also had to dispose of Cap'n John's stuff. Our friend Andy got around 7,000 Hinchcliffe 25mm Napoleonic miniatures. His Daughter-in-law & Grandchildren were sent 1,000 old fantasy miniatures that I had painted for John. Some local guys got I would guess about 3,000 or more G.W., Ral Partha, Dark Sword, & Reaper minis. Selling them would have brought in several thousand dollar that the nursing home would attach; ergo, they were given away...neither one of us wanted to die with the most toys.

There have been dozens of small mushrooms added to the work in progress board. Most all of the Mushrooms have been undercoated:

Two new Mushrooms were sculpted. These two were done without the normal plumber's epoxy putty dollies. only greenstuff:

More mushrooms! And I love the trees! By making more and more your "to paint pile" grows even bigger!

This is true, but the Mushrooms do get painting attention at least while my eye continue to give me trouble; re, they lack the small details the miniatures sport.

Aha ok, I can imagine that. All those pesky little details on some miniatures can be a real pain!

AND, as the number of folk who get them as gifts diminishes, a Fairy Ring will develop.

Lately I have been into the sculpting side of the craft. The result is a bunch of tingies ready to be painted & based.
