Ah yeah I can imagine that, I also use glasses for these tiny details. Have you ever tried such a magnifying glass (with light) on a tripod for painting of hobby related stuff? I've been thinking about one for some time now.

I have a nice pair of magnifying glasses & a magnifying visor. The problem is I have milky discharges rather than tears. Single lens magnifiers have the drawback that you lose depth perception. It makes judging the distance between paint brush & miniature difficult.

Hmm ok, so it both have advantages and disadvantages those magnifiers. Ah those milky discharges sound like a pain when you're trying to work. Good luck with those! Any chance that will improve?

I do have hopes that my eyes will improve. I also stopped smoking six weeks ago which seems to be helping as well.

Ahh... how is that going? Do you have a hard time? When I quit the most difficult were the moments of 'social smoking'.

It is not too bad. There are times I would really enjoy a smoke, but nothing overwhelming...yet. I had stopped for almost five years. Then when things started getting really stressful with Cap'n John's Alzheimer's, I started up again.

ah yeah... it happens more often that one goes back to smoking in stressful times. I also had that once, but then I only had stopped for half a year. Hope your quitting period now at least lasts another 5 years!

Five years would probably cover the remainder of my life. SO every day over five would be a bonus...YAY!

I had given a couple of Mushrooms to one of the girls/nurses were Son Matt works. I had to go in for an osteoporosis shot yesterday & Matt told me there were a bunch of the girls/nurses that REALLY wanted a Mushroom of their own. SO I brought the Box of Mushrooms in to let them choose their own. This is now the State of The Box.
...the things I will do for a hug.

I do prefer giving my stuff to folk I like rather than selling it. Selling it gives me some cash which will disappear as if I never had it. but a gift gains a friendship that will last a lifetime...& hugs are wonderful.
I would love to get one of those big school bus vans & make it into a vardo...the ultimate road trip.
