Thanks, Gatlag. I am happy you are enjoying them. Of all the things I make & paint, the Miushrooms are the things that cheer me up the most.

Great stuff as ever, DN!

Thanks, Rhydderch. I am happy you like them. I am dealing with some problems with Cap'n John's Alzheimer's & the necessity to relocate now. SO I will not be posting much for awhile, but I will be back.

SO my latest obsession/project is making swamp stuff. Beyond the trees dripping Spanish moss, reeds. & other swampy flora & fauna, I am thinking of dilapidate structures perched on hummocks, connecting boardwalks, maybe a partially sunken tower or two jutting out of the muck, & things like that. I had a building that I had made & primed a few years ago. I started adding some color on Thursday:
Every building needs some bloodshot eye peering out of a rat hole:
It's blurry, but this gives s general idea of the back of the place:
& the side:
Yesterday I finished the plaster/brick, dry brushed the roof, did the metalwork, AND added faces & curtains to the faces & curtains to the window...photos forthcoming.

I like your idea about the swamp setting, it sounds really good and I already have some sort of vision in my head. And the first built is great! Love it! Are you going to add some water fx perhaps? I have these clear crystals lying around for years but never got to use them. Those should be perfect for projects like this.

Thanks for the reply, Gatlag. I am glad you like place thus far AND the swamp idea. For the water areas, I will probably sculpt a water texture, paint it a slimy looking greenish brown, & do several layers of gloss finish over the whole thing. That was how I did the Witches' Isles.

Looking good! Somehow I expected something like a pair of eyes coming out of the water!

Thanks, Gatlag. I am glad you like it. They eyes are something I was thinking of adding...it's another Great Minds moment. Over by the reeds might be a good location.

Here you have them, Gatlag:
They do add a certain creepiness to the place.
