marauders of nurgle

perhaps it may be coincidence ...... having started work on my nurgle themed warband i become most putridly ill ..... ahh but doesn't sickness suck....

it's been a while since i painted minis and any previous conversions were limited to weapon swaps .... so completley ignoring the advice of my friendly local GW staff ("ust try gap filling first") ... i jumped in at the deep end and got my fingers dirty with some green stuff .... my photos have also marginally improved ..... my dedication to nurgle has led to the creation of some horribley disfigured minis (pun intended)

so first is the shaman


then the chieftan "cruitha" pronounced croo - ah (thats scots gaelic pronunciation)


and some henchmen with axes and clubs





an attempt at sculpting a bow weilding marauder (their Kurgan by the way) turned out abismally ...... fortunetly as i'm indulging in the somewhat heretical assembly of a WFB wood elf army i'll be able to pinch some from my warhawk riders[img][/img][img]

I like your approach to the Green Stuff; no use mucking about; if you're going to do, it JUST do it! They ALL look good, but I REALLY like the Shaman. The skull shaped vapors rising from the bottle is an outstanding bit; I've been trying to incorperate that Wizards bit into some of the pieces I've been working on & have yet to find a good fit. VERY WELL DONE STUFF!

Very cool! I, too, like the Shaman a lot. It came out great. The Chieftain is cool too. Great use of the mounted Warhammer Nurgle Champion. The henchmen do look good. They definately have a great rotten cult theme. Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

Well dooone Crowbeard! I think a Nurgle themed Marauders warband is a first on the forum.

I think you did well on the GStuff, don't worry. That's the beauty of the Chaos faction, things do not need to be symmetric and necessarily well proportioned. Cloaks can (should) be torn, hoods askew, faces grimmacing...

Oh and I almost forgot...
