Not really a battle report as such just a few pictures.
Beastmen cross the creek and enter Kodsticklerburg...

... on their way to meet their demise at the hands of a Vampire and his minions (*the skeletons simply "counts as" zombies:

The undead swamped the beastmen. Ryan's son wanted a warband with as many skeletons as he could field so he ended up with 13, a vampire and a necromancer. Even with the vampire all decked out he was still shy of the 500gc total. They just swamped the minotaur, then the chieftan and then the warband broke.

The mob inspired Ryan to take a beastmen mob with as many barely armed gors and ungors as possible. These dudes are armed either with just spears or 2 hand weapons (not quite WYSIWYG):

My reiklanders suffered the same fate as the beastmen in the previous game:

I must admit after playing a bunch more games now I am a little disenchanted with the rules. I might try a different set of rules in the same setting.

Hey, it doesn't always have to be a full report imo, your pics work just fine. I like your table a lot, with all the rubble, leafs and odds and ands laying around...

Good looking battles, especially seeing those handsome Reiklanders on that terrain. Shame they got mauled though...

Sorry to hear you're getting disenchanted with the rules though. Anything particular that's bothering you about them? (I might be reacting with automatic defence, because I'm very fond of the Mordheim rules...)

Actually the rules are great in general but the big issue is armour; really, it's quite ineffective. It is my impression (and it may be wrong) that a dude with 2 clubs will eventually wear down his opponent armed with a spear and a shield.

Another lesser quibble is pistols shooting 6". I can buy a net and throw it 8"... Rolling Eyes There was another minor issue but I can't recall what it was.

Easy fixes, I know; we just have to get everybody to agree on them.

Ah, yeah. Those are fair complaints, & there are a few fixes in circulation to adjust them. I think a lot comes down to the original setting of Mordheim, where armour was supposed to be a rich man's luxury & blackpowder weapons were expensive, experimental, & a bit naff... & there was never a 'generic' Warhammer-world reskin to adjust those. So for 50 gcs you get an easily pierced suit of armour that slows down your movement!
