| Red Box Games Shop (Link)Has anybody ever ordered something from them? Some of the minis look really nice, and I see a lot of potential Hired Swords in there... | |

| Not personally, but everyone I know that's ordered from Tre has been more than happy with the service. | |

| As FKSN, I haven't ordered from Red Box, but those Folks I know that have have been happy with the service. One caveat, Red Box minis are somewhat on the small side if differences in size is an issue with you. | |

| I ordered two minis from tre, the thing is that the scale is a little too small, the minis are really nice in sculpting and so, but it looks weird, i use one half-blood as a big un to my orcs! i use the uruk hais from the lord of the rings as orcs:) [img] [/img] [img] [/img] comparing with a witch hunter [img] [/img] | |

| Thanks for the comparison-pic, things like that are always useful. Seems like the half-blood needs a new, bigger head but works fine as a "normal-sized" mini otherwise. | |

| I love the RBG models. Tre also provides excellent service. I agree about the scale issue though. In terms of integrating the models with 28mm models from other companies, there are sadly some issues.
Personally, I generally vastly prefer models that are closer to true scale than those from companies like GW, Wyrd, PP, etc. I use a lot of Perry Bros. models in my warbands, for example. Not only are his models closer to being true to scale than so-called "heroic" scale models with emphasized heads, hands, feet, etc.; they are also a bit smaller in scale. This creates a bit of a one-two punch when the RBG models are alongside GW models.
As you can see from Christian's pics above, the RBG model is actually taller than the witch hunter if they'd both be standing up (that particular RBG model is itself a big dude compared to the other models in the range), but it's head is much smaller than the witch hunter's as well as its body, weapons, etc. That's your difference in both scale and proportions.
If that particular model were alongside models that are closer to real life proportions, like GW's Lord of the Rings models, the difference in scale would be noticeable, but much less so. Personally, I'd love to see a game developed for Tre's excellent models. Right now, I simply work them in with skirmish games I like or use them for table-top RPGs and don't bother myself with the difference in scale.

| I have all of the his halflings, they are very nice and more in scale with the old citadel c11 styled halflings. | |

But very small, I wish Tre all the best, own a whole bunch of the gobbos (where scale is pretty much irrelevent) and bought some zombies too, I just hope he doesn't get any backlash when the Zombies arrive on people's doorstops and they are smaller than Mantic even, let along GWs zombies (which are giants in comparison).
