Roster App

Hi,

I recently published an app on Google Play that replaces the roster for Mordheim games. There are two versions of the app - one free with some ads and one paid ad-free version.

Features include:
- Support for all warbands from the original rulebook, the 2002 annual and from additional settings.
- Creating new warband with prefilled stats, skills and experience.
- In game features such as noting warriors Out of Action, taking opponents OOA, using items and skills.
- Post game sequence features such as increasing stats, experience, adding skills, items, injuries and promoting henchmen.
- Automatic calculation of rating, rout test and warband networth.
- Suggestions of items including rules text for almost all items.
- Individual suggestions of skills for each hero type.
- Share warbands on local network

I'd be very happy if anyone besides my own game group would like to use it.

Out of curiosity, what's the difference between the paid and free version? Amount of advertisement? Is the paid version legal anyways, since there's still a copyright on Mordheim? (I don't care much, just curious)

Exactly. The paid version is completely ad free while the free version has some ads.

I think it should be legal since I'm not using the Mordheim name but someone with a deeper understanding of the law should probably answer instead.

The most common missunderstanding of the app has been the second "sheet" of units. I should make that more obvious somehow.

Thank you for making this App! Its GREAT. I will definitely be using this.



I am inputting my first few warbands and I have a couple questions for you about it.

1) Is there a way to show the free dagger on every model? I like having it listed to remind me when I'm playing but every time I add dagger to the equipment it adds 2gc to the cost.

2) The cost of the double handed weapons are different than I'm used to, did you use a different source for the costs of these?
DH axe = 15gc
DH club = 13gc
DH sword = 20gc

3) Any chance of adding the Wolf Priest

Unfortunately not. I'm thinking about adding an options page and this could definately be an option I could see adding.

These are actually house rules we are using. I should update this now that I've released the app publicly

Found the rules and added him as well as Wolf Form. Just realized I forgot about the Wolf Companion - no time now so will be added later.

Thanks for updating so quickly! I went through and inputted a mock warband on every type that I would use and it looks great.

The only other equipment discrepancy was that dueling pistol braces are 60gc in the app and should be 50gc I believe.

The only unit entry for a warband that I found was missing was the Plague Cart for Carnival of Chaos.


Other than that it's great that it is able to be customized for any warband or hired sword that isn't included.

Thanks for your hard work in developing this! If I started with the free version and wanted to upgrade to the paid (to show appreciation), does it automatically transfer the warbands from the free to the paid version?

I moved this from the Trading Pit. The Trading area is for buying & selling miniatures & other hobby related items.

Unfortunately, no. There is however a "share" feature. If you long-click a warband in the warband list, you can share it with other people on the same wifi as yourself. So you would need a friend or a second phone to move the warband to the other phone, and then back to your own phone in the new app. A bit tedious but it's the best you are going to get in a while (I'm low on free time at the moment).

Hmm...I don't have the rule book in front of me right now but my PDFs of the mercenary warbands and Averlanders show it at 50gc

Those are likely reduced starting costs.

I've actually been using the paid version of this app (and left a review on the app store!) for a bit now. Today I discover this thread and can more personally thank the creator of the finished work, hooray! This has been quite invaluable in our recent games, and your efforts have been much appreciated.

Quick question: how does one add henchmen to a group, as opposed to creating a new entry for each? That's the one thing we haven't been able to figure yet.

You might have missed that you may swipe left to add henchmen? Either way, in post game mode or free edit mode, just click the "number" field of the henchman group (and again, you need to swipe left first for the number field to be visible).
You may also long-click the number field to reduce the number of units in the group. To remove the group completely, click the RIP button in post game mode or free edit mode. In game mode, the X button puts one of the members OOA (and shown in paranthesis is the total number of units OOA for that group).
To promote a henchman, click the name or the type of the henchman group in post game mode, add a name, select skill lists and click OK.

I've got to be missing something, here. When in post game or free edit mode, if I swipe left the screen flips to the gold/wyrdstone/warband rating screen. On the main warband screen, all I see is the name block for the unit as an uninterrupted block without a number entry

Whisper, the gold/wyrdstone screen is where the henchmen go. Click on the add member button just like on the main screen to add henchmen entry.

Duh. I feel kind of dumb now lolololol

You shouldn't! I really should make the distinction more clear. A lot of people have had the same issue. Some haven't even found the second screen.

Quick question: would it be possible to have the Dark Elf Assassin & Warrior Priest of Sigmar hired swords updated for official support? I know they can be manually entered, but their impact on warband rating doesnt calculate correctly. Thanks again for such a useful app!

Yeah, there are a whole bunch of Hired Swords I should add. Just for the kind words earlier I added these two for you. I published the new version a minute ago so you should receive the update shortly

I bought the app and I´m a fan of it!

Thank you for your work. 

Would it be possible to add other warbands and equippment to the database?
There are so many warbands and hired swords etc. on http://broheim.net. 
The "official" ones are Grade 1 on http://broheim.net/warbands.html

I built my warbands in Excel. Would it be possible to link the app to excel or import excel warbands into MRoster?

It´s a lot of that could be added. I would offer my assistance if it helps.
