Cheers. I'm a bit hooked on weathering powder. I love it for basing. I like how adding a bit to the feet or even the clothes visually ties the model to the base. It's easy to go too far though and make a big orange mess I applied a bit the feet of the two original swordsmen too. | |

| Cheers! They're a bit of a change from my usual style so I was apprehensive when planning the theme. I usually do my GW stuff in a bit more of a cartoon/comic way but these miniatures are more realistic then most of the other GW stuff so.....yeah. Quite happy with how it's shaping up | |

| I love seeing your progress, seeing a few more photos (different views, process) would be nice if you have the inclination to post them. | |

| Interesting to see you paint the bows black, as most use a brown. Did you highlight much or is it more or less just black? I've tried all kinds of browns but was never really satisfied. | |

| I highlight them with a bit of a gradient towards the tips but not very much. I thought doing them brown would be a bit overpowering with all the...well....browns | |

| I painted this Nurgle Champion for my mate who is starting a Chaos themed warband (bestmen, posssessed or Carnival. He doesn't know yet) but hasn't bothered getting around to actually, ya know, starting it. He had this model in his vast collection and I convinced him to let me paint it. I love these old chaos champions. Loads of character and a nice Mordheimy feel to them. Sorry for the bad picture. It was a very dark day in my neck of the woods and not very good for photos cheers for looking. | |

| The last three models I managed to scrounge from my bits box before I have to buy more. 2 youngbloods and a champion. I could have made another two marksmen but I'm going to drop them in favour of an ogre as I can't afford to have both in a starting warband. I think the theme of the warband is going along the lines of a criminal yet religious gang of thugs. Kind of like the Mafia and their relationship with the Catholic church. Although they identify as devoutly religious they don't let it get in the way of cutting people's ears off and organising protection rackets. The leader is the son of an underworld boss, the youngbloods are his wastrel friends and the two champions are the right-hand men of his father keeping an eye out for him. Yeah....That works | |

| slow progress is better than no progress. They only take about an hour and a half each but painting the same scheme over and over bores me rigid. I can't do batch painting anymore either. Painting aSkaven army put me off that | |
