| Had a couple of themed AoS games tonight. Empire mercs hired to kill the warlock of firetop heights. Captain Gernhart managed to kill the chosen of Slaanesh but a dagger in the back ended his life  Hendrich summoned a ball of fire obliterating the Bonespawn.  After fighting off a host of ratmen the human reserves managed to buy the witch hunter time to find his quarry  Ritcher Von Karlsbourg casts down his nemesis in a hail of silvered steel. | Thanks for the photos and the report.  Do you feel that the AoS rules worked well? Those rules seem to have more scope for supporting smaller scale battles than the classic WFB rules had. | |

| Did you use battle scrolls from the GW hp for the rules of the weapons etc. and the "usual" MH rules for everything else? Like, if you recruit a henchman with sword and shield, do you use the state troops battle scroll for him? | |

| It was all AoS. The rules work really well over terrain. Forces were taken from warscrolls .
We just didn't use unit minimums.
In the game above we used:
Chaos sorcerer Lord, 1 chosen, 1 spawn, 1 clan rat champion, 5 clanrats, 5 clanrats warpfire thrower.
Empire general, wizard, witch hunter, 2 greatswords, 2 militia, 3 crossbowmen
Each game lasted an hour. Game one empire won by wipeout, game two they won by sudden death.
Chaos only struggled by bad dice. | |
