| Hi guys,
I've now finished my Cult of the Possessed warband and now moving on to my Reikland one. Any suggestions for colours? I can see the main scheme is red and white, but I don't want them to clash too much with the red I used for my Possessed... Looking for alternative schemes, Reikland variant colours etc.
Cheers,
Jed | |

| You could have the Band hail from Bogenhafen which is part of Reikland; their colors are purple & white. Altdorf, the capital, sports blue & red with white trim. OR you could make up a town in Reikland & choose your own colors. The idea of strict regimental/national colors is contrary to the Renaissance costumery of the miniatures & the spirit of the Age...it's more a reflection of G.W's limited imagination. | |

| A couple of early photos, I've almost finished my first ten, another ten to go after that(!). I took the photo under my daylight lamp so the white balance is off, the purple is a lot more purple than the blue in the photos Any idea what's strapped to his back? Looks like a pair of pistols? | |

| I was going to say that your purple looks WONDERFUL...a little more purple in reality would work also. Getting the true color to show in photos has been the bane of my existence of late. Keep up the GOOD WORK! | |

| This purple-grey-blue colour scheme is really appealing. Have you thought about printing the names on paper and glueing them to the base? | |

| NICE PROGRESS! Your brushwork & color choices are SPLENDID. GREAT WORK! Sorry I can't help you with the pen; re, I use a brush myself. | |

| The minis are looking good I'd either print the names on paper and glue them or paint a white background and use black ink. There are tons of fine black pens about. Or get a fine brush and copy Al. | |

| I'm using round lipped bases, so I think gluing on paper may be problematic. White background with a black pen sounds like a good compromise, although I may try painting the letters in white first and seeing how it goes. | |

| The round lipped bases I find are easier to paint names on than the flat ones...the curve seems to work well with the brush tip & there's more surface area. Tip: getting the name centered is easiest by counting the letters & the spaces; then begin lettering with the middle letter or letters & paint in either direction. | |

... AND "S" is about the hardest of letters. The best bet is to do the top "c", stop, & then continue at the bottom of the top "c" & do the reverse "c"...if that makes any sense to you. Long names are a pain, but the look SO GOOD when completed. | |
