| Abdul certainly looks evil enough. If you wanted him to be a little scarier, you could make the skull glow? Paint it bright and highlight areas around it. | |

| Thanks guys. Perhaps I will go back and make some part of Abduls skull trinket glow. Maybe greenish? That'd probably show up alright against the light robes. I also realized I need to paint the stitches on the front of his robes. Pics always seem to show me something I've missed. So instead of actually finishing a miniature, because how crazy would that be, i've started to put some paint on two mercenary captains, one for the Reiklanders, and one for the Marienburgers. They're both still paint in progress, but I got a fair amount done. Also, I hit a personal milestone: after about 16 years of this hobby (on and off) i've finally painted some eyes that only look kind of terrible. The Reiklander: and the Marienburger. | |

| I know Guys who have been at this for forty or more years & never attempt eyes, yours look TERRIFIC...much better than the closed eye look. Both Captains look S PLENDID; you have a flair for colors & the brushwork is BEAUTIFUL. GREAT WORK! | |

| Thanks guys. Unfortunately I'm following up those two minis that I actually really like with one I'm really not crazy about. Irina Azarov, Lahmian vampire. I dunno. I think I don't really like the color combinations here. Also, obviously the freehand on her skirt looks pretty bad and needs cleaning up if I'm going to keep it at all. I think I am going to like this guy though. I don't know if I'm going to give him a name. Do Strigoi even have names anymore? I kind of imagined them as so bestial and primal that they've lost language. | |

| Some color combinations take awhile to get used to. The brocade pattern is attractive though; it rather matches my bedspread/lampshade not that that is a selling point. The Strigoi is already a cool miniature... VERY DYNAMIC. When he is painted he is going to be something special. As such you should consider making up your own background rather than following the G.W. spin on things. I like contrasting a character's intellect to his bestial appearance or the official fluff...my Goblins carry banners emblazoned with "Cogito Ergo Sum". All that aside... GREAT WORK! Have FUN with the project! | |

| Thanks Deaf. Shes growing on me a little bit, so I may just be keeping her as is. From a respectable distance, her brocade doesn't look half bad. Some more painted stuff done now: Wolf Priest of Ulric: Former Knight of the White Wolf: and my three Middenheimers that are thus far complete, minus basing My Tilean Capitano The Barrow Keeper from earlier: A goblin for Da Horde (i've always preferred the now discontinued Night Goblin regiment over the newer one): The Wolf Rat from earlier: and the Plagued Rat Ogre: | |

| You are REALLY cranking out some BEAUTIFUL creations.... GREAT brushwork & some SPLENDID color choices. VERY WELL DONE one & all! On the Goblins: I absolutely agree; i.e., the old plastic Night & Otherwise Goblins are the MERRIEST Little Lunatics. The newer ones look terminally constipated. | |

| Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd we're back! Moved this last year, but it turns out a guy at my new job games, so I've been spending money like I've got it to put together some new warbands so I can gently persuade (force) him to play some Mordheim. Not the best pics (haven't picked a good place in the new house to take pictures yet), but here we go: A lesser seer for the Clan Rictus warband I came up with years ago (can swap just fine for an Eshin sorcerer). Need to do some sculpting on his back to have the shawl wrap around before i can paint him: A Clan Skyre apprentice (again for a warband I wrote, but could be used as a Black Skaven or a Night Runner easy enough). Haven't decided on a right arm for him yet. Default for me is a club, but for some reason i don't really see Warlock Engineers-in-training using clubs. And finally a Clan Moulder rat. Need to do some sculpt work to blend his arms to the body better. | |

| Hey, thanks guys. The sorcerer is actually the End Times Thanquol, and his staff is made by cutting off the gigantic headpiece on Thanquols and replacing it with the headpiece from the Grey Seers staff that comes with the Screaming Bell/Plague Furnace set. I also snipped off Thanquols gigantic horns and his braids, and am not using his huge flowing cape. Basically just tried to tone him down a bit. | |

| Another Rat to add to my quickly growing horde of vermin. This is an awesome design from Mierce Miniatures called "Blunt Claw". For me, he's going to be the leader of my Moulder warband. Probably nicknamed "The Man-Butcher", due to the cooking accouterments hanging on his chest. I really like that he's hairless. Mierce also makes another Skaven looking character looking character that i may pick up (as well as whats obviously a rat ogre, and another one thats obviously a Vermin Lord). The right hand he comes with is equipped with fighting claws, but that kind of weapon seems too delicate to me for this guy, also more Eshin than Moulder, so I'm thinking he's either going to get a club, a giant knife, or a nasty looking whip. Look at the size of 'em! | |

| The Big Rat Guy is an UBERCOOL miniature. Have FUN with the painting et al! I hadn't heard of Mierce Miniatures before; SO I checked out their site/shop. They do have quite a nice selection of minis; a little out of my price range, but splendid nonetheless. | |

| Thanks guys. Got another Rat. This time the Assassin Adept for the Eshin warband. This is an idea I stole off of another Adept i saw on google images. Made from the Screaming Bell Grey Seer with double sickles (fighting claws) from Dark Eldar Wracks. Haven't decided what he'll be standing on yet. | |

| I know it gets boring just seeing seeing picture of gray mini after gray mini, so I finally got to some painting. They're still very wip, and I'm rusty, so bare with me for a while. The big Clan Moulder rat and what will be a Berzerker for my Norse warband, inspired by Yodhrins recent post: | |
