| Hey guys, as of a couple of years ago I've been endeavouring to build a decent set of terrain on which to battle over Mordheim style, for the most part this has consisted of thinking about and sketching out ideas. Having been made redundant recently I've had some time on my hands and finally the opportunity to get some building done. So I present to you my first few pieces. Enjoy. Building No.1 Front Rear Dreadstone Blight, finally assembled and painted. More to come soon! | |

| LOOKIN' GOOD! While both pieces are TERRIFIC, your SPLENDID ruined house does surpass G.W's Tower. Both exterior & interior details are OUTSTANDING...love the stairs & windows. Keep up the WONDERFUL WORK! Sorry to hear about the redundancy, but you are putting the free time to VERY GOOD use. | |

| @Mike: Thanks, its the details that make the difference @DeafNala: Thank you muchly, good sir! The GW tower has been a fave of mine for a while, one of the only bits of GW terrain I've purchased and used as it comes. Plenty more scratch built goodies to come though | |

| Great, your scratch build house really reflects the rotten and decayed atmosphere of mordheim, thumbs up! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! | Thanks for all your kind words. I've been trying something a little different in the latest buildings, for the stone layers I've been building them up brick by brick using some pink insulation foam offcuts I've had laying around. I'm not entirely satisfied with the results as yet but its worth experimenting with anyway. Anyway here's the latest finished ruin as well as my next building which is still WIP. The WIP one still has another floor to be added. | |

| While I may some reservations on whether the extra work involved with the individual stones adds any extra benefits, your two ruins do look OUTSTANDING. Staircases, stonework, brushwork, & detailing are all EXCEPTIONAL. WONDERFULLY WELL DONE! | |

| Man, I always thought Dreadstone Blight looked like arse, I can't believe it never occurred to me it was GW's gaudy studio paintjob that was the issue - it looks fantastic chief, to the point I wish I'd picked one up while they were still available just so I could shamelessly copy yours | |

| @DeafNala Thanks! The stair cases are functional too. one of the "rules" I impose on myself is that the terrain is functional from a gaming perspective. @Theomarpius I find its the details that make the piece and your own AMAZING scenery has provided no small amount of inspiration. @Yodhrin Apart from Skullvane manse, which sadly I never got my hands on , the Blight is the one bit of terrain that fit my needs right out of the box. |functional and a perfect fit for Mordheim, I know 40k is GW's money spinner but I do wish the would invest ins some more terrain, especially something that is not so heavily dosed with giant skulls. In recent years I have found it pays to wait for alternate paint jobs before casting a deciding vote on some of GW's offerings Anyway, here's the latest update on the building, with the additional floor in place and some detailing on the front. I'm just finishing the roof work at the mo then it will be time to get some paint on the go! | |
