| My son and I are big fans of the Random Happenings chart. We usually have 0-1 happenings each game, depending on the luck of the dice. Nothing too awful has happened so far, though the cursed Hands of Stone kept my dwarves from grabbing the Lost Prince recently. We live in fear of rolling 34! Anyway, I've decided to model a figure for each random happening that actually requires something to be placed on the table. I'll post them here as I complete them. I imagine this will take a while... 53 - Plague Victims 34 - Hands of Stone 15 - Blood for the Blood God! 21- Restless Spirit 51- Sink Hole

| Here's a few more random happenings. Spawn! Luckily we have't had this one yet. Swarm of rats Itsy Bitsy Spider Skeletons. The skeletons proved to be a great source of xp for my dwarf heroes. | |

| Ha, random encounters! great project! I love them too, however, they seem to be the only ones dealing serious damage to one of our players so we need them some more in our campaigns as well! We usually play with the houserule of rolling an extra random encounter roll when you enter an abandoned building (sometimes for every abandoned room if we really like to die fast :p) if a 1 is rolled, you roll for the encounter - just like normal rolls. This increases the fun, but also makes the buildigs a bit more dangerous. to counter this, we tend to place small treasures throughout the board and buildings (we roll on the exploration chart prior to the game, and then add those doubles and triples on to the board for everyone to try and make off with them, pluss they're lootable if you kill an opponent - you don't get them again after the game) I've still some encounters to create, but I'm almost done currently - then it's on to the BTB encounter list and the EiF list... so mucht to paint! :p | |

| This is an EXCELLENT project! From my AD&D days on, Random Encounters have always added to the suspense, provided some of the funnier moments, & generally, rocked the boats of the more conservative/timid gamers. The pieces are WONDERFULLY creative, imaginative, AND VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Ezekiel, I like your ideas. My son and I love the random happenings and are disappointed every time we fail to roll a 1.
Deafnala, I have good memories of random encounters from AD&D days too. I think the continuity/role-playing aspect of Modheim is one of its great attractions to me.
Floedebolle, the spider's base still needs a bit of work but I'm quite pleased with how it has turned out. I've had those old skeletons since they were first relased but never really had a role for them. Now they wait for a lucky 1, followed by a 24.
