| Hi, I have been working on a Middenheim warband for a while. Here are some henchmen, two swordsmen with sword and buckler, and a warrior with a halberd: I know these guys don't look particularly "Middenheimy", (wolf pelts and hammers) that is for the heroes of the warband. | |

| The Middenheimers look TERRIFIC... GREAT brushwork & basing. Their expressive faces are priceless. VERY WELL DONE! When I first started down the Road of War Gaming Ruin, minis were all done up in nice glossy enamels. SO your Shiny Lads stir up some fond memories for moi. | |

| Thanks for the comments guys. @Alex For me, this is "toned down" varnish :-) Some of them are so shiny they don't photograph well at all. The warband continues to grow, here is a champion with great weapon: | |

| Now there's a Middenheimer! I go back and forth on the gloss varnish kick. I had a can of a nice artist's varnish a few years ago that produced the nicest glossy finish. The next can of the same stuff didn't work as well and I haven't done gloss as a final coat since. | |

| It's been a while, I've been dealing with a skaven warband in the crawlspace among other things... Here are a couple more warriors with great weapons: The one guy has a flocked base, but I think I will not be doing that for the other bases. Here's the captain of the warband. I really like this mini and he was the inspiration for starting this warband. I initially intended the warband to have more missile weapons. I painted up some LotR rangers I have as marksmen, but the castings were really bad and their clothes and equipment did not look right, so they won't be joining the band. | |

| I particularly enjoy the leader's beard Also it's the sculpt of the model rather than your painting but his legs look real skinny to me | |

| @DeafNala - Thanks!
@Lukezilla91 - Stripes are slimming :-) I think you are right, he looks a little bit slimmer in the legs and feet than the empire militia minis. The empire militia has very chunky proportions. | |

| I love those models, but I gotta say, I really don't like the glossy finish. It makes it look like they're made of glass, and will just as easily break. I like a more realistic look, with a matte or flat finish. | |
