Actually, I was not talking about the counters, but hinting that I'm currently doing the bases from the tutorial at tabletopwelt

| Well, it could be also a lost princess. This one looks like a poor girl captured by my Possessed warband (Leon knows what I mean... and I can't help wandering if I should put the pics of my warband in this forum if one naked woman is so horrible ). But dwarfs are much better painted, by the way. - Eliazar wrote:

Sounds... interestenig You could always include a spoiler which is not to be clicked upon by minors

| Now before this goes out of hand, let me asure you that you can post whatever miniature you want (as long as it doesn't go against the usual things - no nazi propaganda, porn,...). Funnily this sort of is porn. Now this forum was never meant to be for 6 year olds exclusively and bondage type of naked women have been a part of collecting miniatures for a looong time. Mordheim creator Tuomas Pirinen imagined the game to be for the adult gamers compared to Warhammer (though I am sure he didn't have this in mind when he said that!). We've had a little discussion concerning this some time ago. I remember me being seen as the petty bourgeois for disliking a miniature that was not half as sexually explicit as this one. Those who have been around then will know what I think about miniatures like this and I don't have to repeat myself. However, it's everyone's right to like, collect, paint and show them. I say, if you don't approve, just stay away from the thread. I don't see much sense in chiming in to say "I don't like that mini" as that is not very kind towards the painter/collector/owner. Of course, you are always invited to state your opinion, but you are also beholden to be polite and constructive. Cheers! | |

| Hey guys, Just letting you know that I have just returned home from vacation (thank you, it was great) and that I am now back on the forum again. Yay! Concerning this naked female model that was posted, I would like to set a few things straight, and give you my opinion on the topic. First off, I think the one who posted it did one good thing: he posted a link to the miniature instead of putting the picture up directly. This was the right way to handle a potentially controversial miniature. Secondly, thanks to Cianty who - once more - did the right thing in my absence. What Cianty said about this mini basically sums up the forum policy about it. - cianty wrote:

Although I personally do not have a problem with naked models (or with any sort of artistic nudity - in fact, Egon Schiele has painted superb/disturbing nudes, both male and female) I think this miniature CAN under certain circumstances create a false image of this forum's philosophy. Bottom line: The purpose of this forum is to post your work, and encourages you to do so. Therefore I suggest we leave what was posted as it is. HOWEVER, in the future potentially offensive miniatures which might infringe on the forum rules should be either not posted, or, if really necessary, with a spoiler warning as Cianty suggested. - forum rules wrote:
- "No offensive, insulting, racist, sexist or otherwise demeaning remarks/content will be tolerated"
I hope this clears things up a little, Thank you for your time. PS: one last remark... on the "aestethics" of this mini. I personally think it is ugly (not the paintjob, but the thing itself) _________________

The very thing! Okay, men. I removed the links. It was not in my mind to make ashamed anyone of you. Strictly speaking, I never get the idea, that there could be a real problem. Sometimes you forgot where you are. A forum could be a very companionable room, but in the last analysis it is (very!) a public room. And now the little storry, why we use this model. The problem was always, that every warband would try to kill the lost Prince, if an other warband got him. In my opinion it ist not the right way to play this scenario and so I'd play this little trick on my friends. Noone would shoot a helpless girl. It is just a Joke.

| Well, don't worry, I didn't take any offence I simply don't really like most naked models, as they are not very well sculpted (in my eyes) and thus rather look like someone really needed to make a naked girl with big breasts at any cost, rather than creating a piece of art. Alright, enough of that. | |

| Now you really shouldn't have removed the links! It's what Tom and me just stood up for.
And I do think that TBMF is pretty much as companionable as you can get on the net. In your own gaming group people can say that they do not like a particular mini, can't they?

| Oh, this is not the problem. I've got no problms with criticism and I'd understand your point of view. You have no problems with this kind of models, but If someone had this problems, I would not be the man, who redeems it. In my opinion it is okay now. | |

| I think saving the Prince is RATHER lame; if the Whimp can't save himself, screw him. BUT saving the Lady in Distress is COOL; ESPECIALLY saving the NAKED Lady, although I gotta agree with Tom, that is one UGLY mini! On the nudity thingy, I find no reason to be ashamed of something God has made simply because he/she/it is sans apparell unless he/she/it is engaged in some REALLY kinky activity! | |

| VERY COOL MINI! With the attitude that little sucker is projecting, it's easy to see why he'd be the LAST DWARF standing. Although with Dwarves, it's sometime hard to tell whether or not they ARE standing. Nicely painted; LOVE those teeth. WELL DONE! | |

| Ok, I stumbled upon this thread a bit late, but after reading it... Are we being serious here? potentially offensive models, sexually tainted models... (now I DO NOT WANT TO GO AGAINST THE RULES OF THE FORUM AND RESPECT THE MODS) but... it's a bloody heap of tin, and at that a fat dwarf! how can this ever be labelled sexually offensive or anything else beside a miniature? It may have to do with the fact that I'm dutch by heart and love all my free rights of media and content, and that I'm rather used to seeing such stuff... but really... are there actually people who see this as sexual? - as in... would you get off on it? I'm sorry for this post as I know it might offend some peoples opinions stated above - I do not mean you any harm, but it just reminded me of a couple of years back, when GW released their first nude miniatures (slaanesh) and Stateside they went ballistic on them, it was unconventional provoking, sexually obsessed and what more... meaning great financial losses for GW America and a multitude of rediculous claims... I ask my self... are we serious here? ... So this post is just to remind you of the fact that it is a game, and that we all have seen a pair of nice breasts in our lives, and it's nothing to be ashamed by or offended by, ESPECIALLY when it's a pair of tin breasts (or even 6 pairs of tin breasts in the case of slaanesh models! ) Now, I see the point of possibly protecting minors from more adult content, and a spoiler is perhaps a good idea, but to call stuff offensive when it's clearly not promoting any sick behaviour (as the nazi thing was pointed out - though there is a game featuring nazi's and they have good looking models.. just a slightly tainted background story -NOT PROMOTING HERE! ) Just had to get this off my chest, keep in mind, I do not try to offend anyone by this post, if I did, my apologies. | |

| I think the whole issue sounds more serious than it actually has been...
It was just that a spoiler might have been a good idea, and that sme folks did not find the minature in question (which is now removed) very well sculpted.

Yes. It ist the model of the German "White Dwarf"#100. What should I do next? Witch Hunter, Stirlanders (Averlanders), Chaos Cultists, Sisters of Sigmar, Stirwood Outlaws or Skaven? For the Sisters an the Witch Hunters I need a few models at all.
