No, I use pigments from Vallejo and Mig.

As you probably noticed recently, I have no free time, where I could paint Roadwardens from Averland. The few free moments to prepare regular text on blog and work on the rulebook to Warheim FS.

I hope that soon I will be able to return to painting Averlandczyków, and in the meantime I started the next recruitment.

I was planning recruitment Ogres warband to Warheim FS for a long time, but only now did I realize the intention and that is why today I can show you the model Hunter - the first miniatures that will devour your enemies in the ranks of the warbands from Mountains of Mourn.

As a base for a simple conversion I used the model Ogre Hunter from Games Workshop, which I added a few extras (crossbow bolt quiver, mace ogres, rope with a hook and wineskin) from the box of Stonehorn.

The end result can be viewed below:

The Big Guy is WONDERFULLY cluttered with a DAZZLING array of paraphernalia...GREAT WORK!

Now that is a grizzled Veteran...the stubble is an EXCELLENT effect. Your brushwork & selection of colors are OUTSTANDING. VERY WELL DONE!

For some reason or other the photos of the Ogre were truncated last viewing; he looks SPLENDID now. AND the Averlander Foresters are BEAUTIFUL. VERY WELL DONE!

Thanks for the tutorial. As I build a Horned Hunters warband just now, it might come in handy.
To be perfectly frank, the static grass and leafes add a lot to your bases. Your other minis might benefit also from such a treatment. Right now they look a bit like they had been marching through the painted desert in Arizona... on their knees
Really like your upturned card with the dead horse btw!

The completed & in the works pieces are LOOKIN' GOOD!  

I agree with Grimscull observations. The cracked desert earth has a definite Post Apocalypse feel. For any other setting a bit of flora would relief the stark nature of the dried earth.
