I'm giving an ogre in my collection a bobble hat. Problem is, I can't work out how to make the little pom-pom on top out of greenstuff. Any suggestions?

Roll a little ball of green stuff and put it on the top of the hat?
Perhaps if you could provide a visual reference of what you are trying to achieve. What does a bobble hat look like?

That is the hat I am trying to replicate.

You could make a green stuff ball and then roll it over something with a rough surface to give it texture. Something like coarse sandpaper or a file with large teeth.

I either use a very small bead, an equally small ball of green stuff/Milliput, or a pinhead (the pinhead works best). Cover with epoxy paste or 5 minute, two part epoxy glue. Then with a toothpick or similar pointed object tease (stick & pull) the covering into points all over the ball...you've got to keep teasing until the paste dries. This works nicely for flames & dripping blood also.
