| Thanks, lowenbraugh...Glad you like the stuff! Funny thing is I usually decide to pick up a mini from someone else's painted versions. Haunting the different forum has given me quite a list. | |

| I like your style of painting and modelling. It reminds me a bit of the 80's models, although some elements are in a style unlike any I've seen before. Very original.

| Thanks, BigD! I just follow my imagination & all sorts of strange things emerge. I'll be putting up more scenes from around the boards I've completed; some of the scenes I've already posted in the Maudeheim threads will also appear here. AND I hope your Birthday was a BLAST! | |

| A Piece of the Darkness detaches itself & moves silently past Heep's Mushrooms & toward the cave's moonlight entrance. As it passes, one Mushroom says to another: "Now it's not every night you see a Piece of Darkness glide by." This is Reaper's version of the (02886) Dark Creeper from the AD&D fiend Folio. As always your kind comments would be appreciated.

| Thanks, V.K.! I think it's the underling cartoonish nature of the mini that makes him fit... SILLY IS THE WAY! Now I have to get a Dark Stalker to go along with the Creeper...no matter how many minis you have, there is always one more you need. | |

| Thanks, Ben...glad you like him. The Dark Creepers & Stalkers are among my favorite Fiend Folio monster types. When Reaper came out with them, it was a must have mini. | |

| One of the more disturbing project logs, in a good way!. You have a very distinct style, with bold colours without them being too bold... Not sure if that makes sense. For some reason, your work reminds me of The Dark Crystal. |

Thanks for the positive reply, Daniel. There is a surrealistic feel to the boards & the miniatures that inhabit them that lends itself to vivid colors; the settings make the colors seem right & the other way around. The Project is a conglomeration of all the things: fantasy, films, books et al that I've come to love over the years. Jim Henson & his Dark Crystal is part of all that...seeing his influence is probably the nicest of compliments.

| In the interest of getting further feedback & dazzling those who don't venture into my W.I.P. thread. I post a version of those pieces I complete here as well. Meanwhile Dark Events are unfolding in The Graveyard. A figure bearing a remarkable resemblance to the long dead St. Lascivious is seen lurking by The Saint's Statue. Could it be?: ...it is He returned from the grave: Dozens of dead pigeons were found encircling The Statue the next day. | |

| I can only wish to ever play a game on such a nice and original board as yours Deafnala. Also your models look fantastic and it is giving me the spark to building and painting models back!!!! have not played Mordheim in a couple years but it will always be my favorite game, it is the first war game I played so it will always have that special spot with me...
Keep those awesome models coming!!!

| Thanks for the kind reply, Vissah! It would be fun to actually game on the boards other than solo. AND I'm delighted that my stuff has motivated you to get back in to Mordheim & the creating that that involves...that really is a fine compliment. By the way we have a new member in Japan: https://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/t8122-hello-from-japan...it would be cool if you were close enough to start a Mordheim group. | |

| Thanks for showing me another player in Japan but Hiroshima is pretty far from Tokyo. I will contact him and maybe we can meet one day. I moved to Japan after Christmas with my wife and I am enjoying it so far but I did not play any games for the last month, only a couple games of Magic cause that is really big here. In two months I am going back to Holland for two or three weeks so I will be playing a campaign with my old Dwarfs again and after that maybe retire them. I always found Mordheim the most fun with the original rule book war bands but I never made one so now I just want a nice little project to make some really good minis with nice looking bases for the first time in my life, always finished my minis fast without much thought for the bases cause I wanted to play fast.
The war and I wanted to start with when playing Mordheim was Undead but due to financial reasons got some Orcs and Dwarfs from a friend and made two Warbands. Now with some more money I am thinking of starting my first choice in Undead, don't know if it is going to be GW models cause those kantic models with an Avatar of wars vampire and me necromanser looks really good to me and is half the price of getting all those models from GW and I think they also look better and are more original.
Anyway that is it for my rambling, sorry to do that in your thread mate.

| Fear not; there will come a time for painting & modeling sooner than you'd think. Right now I'm in a productive stage with all sorts of things going on with the Urban Blight & Rapunzel's Twisted Tower Boards (link in my signature) & some new White Knight & Lead Adventure minis in progress here: https://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/t8132-the-gangs-of-maudeheim-02-02-15AND I just got a bunch of Renegade Goblins that will be perfect for the Shanty Town...last year was down time with moi. | |
