I wanted to try the "Mark of the old Ones" (Do people have experience with this? Is it worth it?)
Beside the mark I wanted to max out on models to go from 4 to 6 heroes a.s.a.p., so the warriors are rather ill equiped...

Hi! I had a great itch to do some colourfull conversions, without having to worry about ranking up. So I decided to build my self a Mordheim warband. To have the widest selection of bits I decided to go with Human Mercenaries, and decided to build Marienburger band.

After reading the tips from Morheimer I decided to go for a high headcount warband with widespread missileweapons. I feel that higher rout treshold is worth it, also ability to outnumer enemies is a big bonus.

I've build the heros, who show their wealth by having extravagant feathers on their hats.

The dueling pistols on Hegel give him a mean punch and even more importantly they say that he is a man of class and wealth.

Well the greatweapon on Friedrich is a character choice, he is a former petty thief who ran away from the law and into the grand adventure that is the mercenary profession. And of course he gathered all the mone he could and went and brought the biggest sword the blacksmith had . He will start doing bodygard work for Hegel along with Karl. He hopefully goes about and puts knocked out enemies out of their misery and when he starts getting advances he willpropably be re-equipped to suit his newfoud skills.

As to Karls spear, we will propably house rule something like, spell>skill>weapon>charge when dealing with who strikes first, so that the spear remains viable weapon.

upgrades will propably include crossbows for character who get Bs4 or Skill to use one while moving/quick shot.

Hm, i don´t know the lizards but i´ll try my hand on some comments on the other two warbands:
VilleVicious, your Marienburgers seem generally to be o.k. My only point is about the youngbloods:
With houserules the spear is a good weapon for a youngblood, but i am not convinced the great weapon is a good choice. Strike last with only one attack is a great drawback, even if it makes killing knocked down warriors easier. But give it a try and tell us how it works.
Outbreak, i would not give the youngbloods bows. With BS 2 they will not hit much and you can use the money (with some other savings...maybe drop some swords or maces) to hire another henchman. Numbers count for more in Mordheim than any equipment, at least for starting warbands.

It's not a bad warband Khorne, I would take away the sword of the captain and replace it with a mace and give a mace each to the marksmen with handguns.
With only one attack I am not fond of halberds, I would replace them with swords.
Might aswell get rid of the bows on the youngbloods, with BS 2 they're not going to be hitting anything. With that spare money you could try for another marksmen.

Also, are you sure you're not getting handguns and pistols mistaken?

I hope it does well, most people would be shocked at you not taking all five heroes and buying armour.

3 heroes and armour = not good. crossbow also not good.

Hmm... I have found that the armor is very expensive and feels like it ain't worth the gc. Will make a new warband and post it up here if I remember.

OK. Updated the list, and I totally got handguns and pistol costs mixed up, thanks a ton. =D Anyway it ends up being 12 models, which is just huge for a human band to me for some reason. ANYWAY. Critiques please!

Drop the handguns, they are nearly worthless im Mordheim. Use Crossbows or normal bows instead and buy another henchman from the saved money. The swordsmen with bows are an interesting idea - they are a bit too expensive for my taste but try them out and let us know how they work.

Child of Khorne: Your warband totals 632gc as you have not included the cost for the 2nd swordsman.

That warband seems to be fine ChildOfKhorne....and this time the numbers seem to add up to 598, too .
If you still want to tweak it a little give your swordsmen only one sword each and drop the shields from the champions, that way you can buy another henchman. This will give you thirteen members and raise your rout number to 4. You can always buy the equipment after your first game.
Not a necessary change but it could give you a small edge.

After playing Night Goblins for some time, I started a new warband. First up for me were the dwarfs. Cool sturdy warband and something
completely different then the unpredictive gobbo's. Exploring the
possibilities of the dwarfs I found that the warband could contain a
slayer. In a far away past I played a trollslayer in Warhammer Quest.
So the slayer theme was born. Doing some investigation further I came
across some sites of players that already made some experimental rules
for a slayer warband. Eventueally the following rules for Slayers in Mordheim seem to fit the best.
So how will the slayer warband look like:

Giant Slayer with 2 dwarf axes
Troll Slayer 1 with 2 dwarf axes
Troll slayer 2 with a 2-handed Gromril axe
Troll slayer 3 with 1 dwarf axe
Clansman 1 with mace and shield
Clansman 2 with 2 pistols

I'm
still figuring out how to equip the clansmen for this warband. I've
been looking at adding only some slayers to this warband but for the
story of the warband it seems better to have some followers in the form
of some clansmen. In the future slayers can be added and maybe also a
rememberer. Or maybe equipe the clansmen with some armour is also a
nice option. Still not sure there. The SLayers also should have some
tattoos and/or scars of course. With this list of dwarfs there is
little gold left for that. Maybe down-equiping them and adding the
tattoos might prove interesting slayers. Even thought of "scrificing" a
Troll slayer for more tattoos/equipment.

I was looking for a good starting witchhunter and sisters warband, but i haven't got the time to read all 32 pages. Meanwhile, I couldn't help but notice that mistakes in the costs of warbands happen once in a while.
Did you know that there's a little computer ditty that allows you to create warbands on your pc, does all the calculating for you and in the end lets you print a nice warband roster ?
It is called Army Builder and you can find it on the net.

Well, I haven't played Sisters of Sigmar before (just ones, years ago with proxy models, but don't remember anything), but now I ordered a bunch of Reaper mini's to model a nice new warband and thus am very interested in joining the discussion!

Here's a Marienburger warband I've been concocting based on what I've read. Purely theoretical as I yet to playe a single game. Tried to make it relatively balanced. The blackpowder weapon's costs have been reduced 20%, as we're going to use the optional rule about missfires.

I have come into possession of a Witch Hunter warband and have decided to give Mordheim another try. I haven't played in a very, very long time. I have built the list according to what the model has on it so that it represents WYSIWYG.

Why only 2 witch hunters? Why not max heroes? Max heroes also maximises income. You could of course do it because of fluff : )

These are the models that I have acquired and wanted to try and make due with them initially. However, I could drop the two zealots, add in the third Witch Hunter with a sword and crossbow and perhaps have enough left over to buy a fourth Warhound. I would lose the missile support of the zealots but would have maximum characters. This would change the tactics of the list from a mixed melee/ranged effort to more of a melee oriented list with just the three crossbows as ranged support.
