| Oh yes! I really can't wait to see what you're going to achieve with this!
One question, though: is that inclination a hazard for miniatures to risk their balance?

Joao Yes! Actually, no more so than a flat table, a top heave mini is easy to knock down either way. It's really not that bad.

| Oh, DeafNala, what a find! That looks wonderful! I'll get in touch with the artist as he's included some really cool civilians in there. I want to find out who makes them.
Either way, thanks a lot for posting this! Love it!

| Will you actually be able to play inside the building, or will it be only for decoration? Either way, you can really see the work put into this project, and it's really paying off too! | |

| That is COOL looking. The interior makes me claustrophobic; it's probably the way it tapers down to a point...it reminds me of a scene from Alice in Wonderland. GREAT WORK! | |

| A little late for the suggestion, but you can trim down the half inch foam to reduce the thickness. I do this all the time with my Arabian buildings. I like the uneven walls that result.

Likewise Late:I also have ripped the foam down to 1/4 inch. Now I usually use the fan foam insulation (looks like an accordion); it's normal 3/16" or 1/4"...it is sometimes available in two ply. I also got a bundle at Loew's that's 1/8".

| I've ripped the foam before too. The catch on this is I'll be doing leaded glass windows as well, which involve ripping the foam. Actually, I'm really just not that bothered. I want it to look good on the outside more than I want it to look proper on the inside. The thicker foam is just easier to detail, to me at least. | |

| and on the occasion you might actually play with it, the thicker walls do lend a bit of structure to the buildings (I've had numerous small walls crumble while playing. which is why I use the foamboard or thick foam nowadays.) Love the atmosphere the little corner door is breathing already!

You will note that V.K's buildings have survived MANY, MANY campaigns plus the transport back & forth to the game store, which speaks volumes as to the durability of the structures...this could also reflect on the Folks playing the games of course. For a board that will mostly be used for display, I'm sure some fragility would be acceptable.

| Wow theomar! this is a biiig project, love it! somwhere in the back of my head ived allways had a never-starting project to build a castle, this really inspires me! the stone cutting is coming out really good, i love how it looks in when its so much of it , and the room in the end of the slope (forgive my bad english) is an excellent idea, its just beutifull geometry right there!
as to your earlier work, its amazing, the autum theme is my favorite theme of all!

Thanks Nala. I agree, and haven't used the card stuff in years. I'm not really up on laminating tubes in foam and carving the blocks in. It never looks as good as I want it to. Also, using the sheet stuff gives me a bit of variety, as if maybe it were different builders at different times.
