| Hey all,
Earlier in the year I purchased two boxes of Dreadfleet. One to paint and assemble as is and the other to convert for new army types.
I've not painted much but once it's all unpacked in the new place I'll post some photos.
In the meantime, I'm trying to come up with ideas for what to turn the other set into so far I've got these ideas:
- Ogres - Orcs - Chaos/Norse - Vampire Counts (I know the big bad guy is an undead lord but I mean a proper black ship) - A variation on the swordfish to match the fish guys from PoftC 2 - The second Blacken will be greenstuffed into a sea monster of some kind that will have a statline like any of the other ships
EDIT: Durr...I suppose I could make a proper pirate ship. All traditional-like. Can't believe I didn't think of that. Any more ideas? Obviously I've got 10 ships to play with. | |

| The conversions, like the game itself, sounds interesting. Please don't feel offended, but the Painting & Modeling section is reserved for Morheim minis or those that can be used in the Mordheim setting; SO I'll relocate your thread in the Fantasy Shout Out Section. | |

| When Dreadfleet first came out I had a plan to make Orc versions of all the Grand Alliance ships... a plan so far down my list of plans that it will probably stay as just a plan forever. | |

| Ooops... Sorry about that. I'll make sure I put things in the right places from now on. I'd have to say the same under normal circumstances Kurgan but with everything else being so far off, the Dreadfleet conversions and painting has been bumped up the list. Should have some photos of what I've done so far either later on or tomorrow. | |

| No problem about the move, Amigo...it gives me something to do. Here, at least, you should get some responses...I hope. Have you checked out Uncharted Seas? You might get some ideas for conversions or some alternate models. While you'd probably order from a UK/European seller, here's The War Store's listing to see what's available: http://www.thewarstore.com/UnchartedSeas.html | |

| I didn't see much room for conversions with those models, so I look forward to your efforts. | |

| I'm looking forward to it myself to be honest. :S Not quite sure where to start. I'm trying to determine the scale of the models so that I can search out a supplier that would sell ships and accessories that work alongside dreadfleet. Any ideas guys and girls (despite the extremely geeky nature of the forum I assume there are girls here )? | |

| So begins the double posting...Sorry guys. Anyway, I dug out the finished Dreadfleet bits from my packed boxes. There's only two pieces completed (It's been way down my list for a while) As a side note, I really hate taking pictures of my stuff because the camera seems to pick out bits that aren't quite right much better than my eyes can. :S Anyone else find that? So pictures... First off, The Ghost Ship: And secondly Volcano Island I struggle with creating glow effects but I have been practising recently. Hoepfully I'll be able to improve the Island soon. Any feedback is welcome | |
