| I remembered that it was the Chinese new year so nobody was working and still only one of the ships have been shipped and it takes a month normaly for me to get stuff from china. and I am a impatient person.... I found a similar ship on ebay from a uk seller and have been trying to modify it and casting some cannons for it. here is how far i have come now. i am pretty happy with it but i am not too precise or careful and impatient. It has lost the few straight lines that it had and the cannons are a bit ugly. but hopefully i get better when my other 3 ships come And its only me and my brothers that will see it up close.... It might be to many but I did get six cannons on it and i bought a small dwarven balista I am going to try and put in the front. i need to get some sails for it. but as you can see i can squeeze 20+ units on it and have my six cannons i have tried to broaden the main part of the hull and put some railngs upp. and drawn some wooden planks on the flat parts of the ship. the hull was not flat against the ground and i tried shaving it to a nice level but it was a bit to much hassle so i glued some ugly flat supporting ice cream sticks under it so it wont tip over. | |

| I really like the new boats. Although I haven't much use for the dragon boat, it has a lot of gaming potential.
The merchant ship turned out great.

| Yeah I have been looking at that ship too, I need some more smaller boats. That one might be around the size I have now. But it realy has loads of potential. I got the Ship's Kit from them for the two anchors and the bell and wheel they are great! I also purchase the swivel gun and cannons from them but they are sadly to tiny for my taste.... I like the empire great cannons! they would probably capsize the ships I am putting them on but they look better, here is a comparison picture of the guns, far left a old chaos dwarf swivel gun I think, then two of the swivel from Games of War then there puny cannon (2,5cm long) without the wheels and a old empire great cannon and a newish great cannon to the far right. with a free company man for scale. | |

| You will find that most cannon sold by historical miniatures companies do not match GW's sense of scale. Ships sold by most miniatures companies that are not GW will be scaled to the smaller cannon as well. | |

| I think the bigger cannon will suit the GW look much better. Somehow the idea of a dangerously overloaded ship fits well with Mordheim. A really creepy figurehead would also look good. | |

| I like the look of the dragon boat (well the others too), it seems with a little ratty converting it could be my Clan Eshin kill-kill boat . | |

| had some time to work more on my boats. I bought some "Fashion DIY Beads Bronze Tone Rudder Wheel Pendants Charm Dangle J0567 DGK" to make steeringwheels for the boats i got. There a bunch for a pound i decided to try and make more a merchant vessel first so i modified one of the ships. (its a fish ) It turned out pretty decent i think. i bought some chains that i might slap on here and there when I get them. I tried to do some fancy paintwork on the sides but it is out of my reach right now. And i should have done the windows more carefully and added cardboard-pencil planking on all the sides and on the deck. I cheated a bit with the sails as there a real pain with the strings only. I glued them on and then did the string and i got some yoyo-strings instead of the thinner strings that came with. i would like more sails on it but then it wont be to playable. I reinforced the masts with thicker bbq skewers on each side otherwise i think they would break to easy. Now I am thinking about making this djonk that i made into a catamaran into something elvish, we don't allow elves in our corner of mordheim according to my brother but that might change I think it looks already elvishy and i might try and make some triangle sails for it. It was however the worst model to assemble the wood snapped in a few places cos it was not cut properly on the sheets. And the wood felt a bit softer. | |

Given the overflowing number of pointy ears in our current campaign I'm inclined to agree with your brother... The ship's wheels are a great find, I'll have to check the local stores. Great update

| Oo, I have been looking for an affordable ship option for a dock I have planned on my future Mordheim board. This certainly fits the bill... thank you for the scale shots, and I love what you did with them | |

| after 6 months of not working on my projekts i got some inspiration and did some work! the Corsairs ships from lotr look realy sweet, great lines of the sails. I tried and made some sails and gave my dark elves ship some better black coating, but it looks a bit unfinished with the colours, I think I should redo the hull a bit more in greyish black and not only black black. and did some more work on my galleon typ ship gave it a new deck, | |

| These look like great fun. Sadly I have never left the shores of the empire in my mordheimings, this does inspire a certain wonder lust for other parts of the world!! A holiday to "sunny" old albion | |
