| Thanks guys!
Concentrating on a wee bit of scenery now (ideas shamelessly looted from this here site) and after that, I'll be painting up an undead Pirate crew

Well, they're finished! A mix of GWS-Sartosa, GWS-old school and Black Scorpion figs, all metal, no two the same And a group-shot, together with the small Davy Jones crew I already had

| VERY COOL (& clammy) ! The brushwork, color choices, & bases are all OUTSTANDING. You've chosen some GREAT minis that go together WONDERFULLY; Tentacle Beard is my favorite...probably an association with Johnny Depp films. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Great bunch of skeleton pirates! What or whose rules are you using for them? | |

| There are a couple of possibilities if I find the time and an opponent :
Sartosa rules allow for a pirate undead warband with the Mordheim rules, and Cutlass also has a rulesset.
And I can always use human stats for them in é.g. a Legends of the High Seas game

| I haven't read the Cutlass ruleset. There are so many cool undead pirate models and not many cool undead pirate rules. | |

| I think the cool thing about undead warbands (and most other warbands for that matter) is the possibility for flair and having an over-arcing theme. A simple zombie is kinda boring... a PIRATE zombie is cool! | |

Ah, sorry! I know this is a bit late, but can you tell me who makes this cartographer? Many thanks, Joao

| Alas for you, yes I do, it was made/cast on commission by the organisers of a Belgian fig-fair, and was only available as a freebie for the visitors of that years' fig-fair...
The club is called "The Tin Soldiers of Antwerp"
And I only have one single fig of him...

Thanks for letting me know, though. And it was good that at least you got to paint him and add him to your awesome collection!

| Should you want to search Ebay and whatnot.
The name of the show when he was handed out is "Crisis 2011" and took place in Antwerp-Belgium. And I've found the sculptor too, it's a Paul Hicks fig.
Hope that that might help you...

| The Banshee Babe turned out BEAUTIFULLY. I love the colors you chose, particularly the hair color, AND the brushwork & basing are OUTSTANDING. VERY WELL DONE! She's one of those G.W. pieces that I really like, but can't justify the price...if only I weren't so cheap &/or poor. | |

| I know what you mean...
I've been considering buying her (for my pirates) from the day she was released.
Only, she costs as much now as I used to spend on a plastic infantry box with around about 10 figs when I started gaming.
What appealed to me is the way her hair and clothes 'flow' and her stretching her had unwards really looks as if she is drowning. That's why I opted for a flesh 'n bones colour scheme in stead of a spectre colour-scheme.
And I must say I am really pleased I bought her, even though I should have probably checked first wether I can include a banshee in an undead Mordheim crew or not **sigh**

| Great job on the mini! Fear not you can always include the scenario The Cry of the Banshee in your pirate adventures Or you can use her as one of the pirate heroes in StyrofoamKing's Ghost Pirate warband... | |

She'd make for a perfect Sea Singer indeed! Thanks!
Reviewing those pages... Might just have to make myself a Gibbet-encaged undead pirate! And I definately need to check the interwebs for Zombie pirates to add to my skeleton pirates...

| Oh the Gibbets, hate those things. Such a useless henchman group If you are interested in the modeling possibility by all means, I'd recommend using a model in a 'counts as' fashion before committing time to modeling one. | |

| Well,
I'm tempted to do at least one... I've got one of those cages that come with the Giant sprues, and I've got quite a bit of pirate skellies left over. So all I have to do is assemble both into one fig, base, prime and paint
But useless? Without them, I can only take 5 henchmen (The Cursed). Which seems kind of odd, as I'd be including (currently) living creatures in my undead pirate warband

| The living henchmen problem is pretty much a Mordheim Undead default, since warband authors seem to resist the idea of an undead henchman who gains experience.
The Cursed Crew are not my favorite part of the Ghost Pirates, though you can hire as many as you want within your 15 man maximum warband size.
Of course neither are the gibbets, but for different reasons (mainly the silly gibbet idea). Given that there are tons of skeleton pirate models available I wish the author had been less creative and just included, well, skeleton pirates in his warband rather than more special rules.

| All three are EXCELLENT minis & BEAUTIFULLY based & painted. That is some serious fire power Long John is toting; he's going to be The Terror of the main tops...nice subdued colors. AND Werner the K does have a way with the Babes; the volley gun & it's wielder are TERRIFIC...nice job on the striped trousers. The Lady (I keep thinking "Lizzie Borden") is cool... GREAT job on her skirt. All are VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Hmmmm Long time no updates on this post... Gues I've almost got enough pirates (as if!) Upside, there was a fig-fair in Belgium last weekend and apparently a couple of the guys of my club want to get (back) into Freebooters' Fate... So maybe I'll be getting some arrr/yarrr games in soon(ish). Anywho, I sold of a very small portion of my Pirates : the Warmachine Cryx ones. Why? Because I largely prefer to play my Mercenary pirates in Warmachine. The buyer did have one condition : I'd accept to paint any and all new units he buys for his Cryx Pirates... Here's what I've painted for him sofar : Blackbane's Ghost Raiders : Captain Rengrave : Revenant Crew of the Atramentous : I'm curious to see what he'll buy for me to paint up next... | |

| Although I too am more of a Mercenary Guy, the Cryx minis have always had a lot of appeal for moi. These are BEAUTIFULLY painted UBERCOOL minis. VERY WELL DONE! I haven't checked out the Privateer Press stuff in quite awhile; I'll have to browse their site. | |

| Wow, I had no idea these models even existed. I used to go into the store on Warmachine day to play Mordheim, but I haven't been in a year or so. Plus those lads never paint so I wouldn't notice the models anyway...
You had an excellent unit there, well done.
