Hi guys,
I finished the Butcher since it was not so much left to do. Pictures will follow after cleaning up the miniature (some details on the base). Meanwhile I was working on the Jester. It is far from being finished, but I thought to share with you the current status. Also because xmas time is coming up and I may not find so much time to work on the project in the next days/weeks (eating, drinking, family, friends, work, eating, eating, eating...).

So here are some random shots from the Jester (as I said it is not finished and there is going to be A LOT of gore!)

And there is something new 'growing', slowly but steady ....


Yesterday I watched John Carpenters 'THE THING' from 1982... And I must say, I dont know how I could ignore this movie for such a long time, it is fantastic and actually a good source of inspiration :-D

a happy new year to everybody!

a loooot of family stuff and eating in the last few days, not that much time for the hobby. and in addition did my airbrush arrive some time ago and attracts a lot of attention

but I have some progress (small) on the jester and also on the 'new' project. hope to shoot some pics in the coming days to keep you updated.

long time no see. Currently I have not so much time for the hobby but I am doin' my best.

I finished the second brute and did some progress on the first tainted one and in addition there is a small (veeeery slow) progress at the second tainted one...

First off, the brute













It was almost finished, but needed to finish the head and the base. Added some gore, and I am very pleased with the result

Next is the tainted one







The cap and his dagger need to be done. And as you can see, I got wild on the gore! But I think it is ok because this poor jester just turned into a big piece of living meat!

Last: This is what is going to be the second tainted one. I warn you. THE NEXT PICTURES INCLUDE NUDITY !!

WELCOME BACK!

There, now that I've gotten that out of my system. The new stuff is OH-SO-COOL! The Brute is a WONDERFUL & IMAGINATIVE piece of modeling & brushwork, as is his Tainted Amigo The rust, gore, & bases are LOVELY in their own ways. VERY WELL DONE!

The Big, Ugly, Naked Guy has an amazing amount of potential...leaving a lot to the imagination is a plus with moi.

wow, this really is a fantastic warband. I like your green stuff work and painting style, it creates a disgusting and disturbing impression. (wow, strange words to express praise

but I guess it is very hard to show these minis to non-tabletop-people, isn't it? I managed to get my girlfriend to at least pretend she'd like my undead warband I'm creating, but I guess noone that isn't into games workshop could appreciate your minis

do you have "friendly" minis to show "normal" people your hobby?

It's a tricky one, really. My girlfriend fully supports my hobby and generally gives constructive feedback and ideas. That said, she kind of "censored" some of my miniatures from being put on display (like the demons from Hell Dorado). As for other people (including the ones who aren't interested in the hobby or gaming) they tend to appreciate the effort that it represents to paint such tiny models and some of them even love to see stuff like civilians or houses. And some might even like Nurgle - it's just a matter of luck, really.

Thx, disturbing is considered as a compliment I have finished the Jester and will hopefully find some time on the weekend to make a group shot.

They are all beautiful conversions, and it's just struck me - The right arm from the brute came from one of the old metal Tzeentch Horrors... I've got to say the Irony of that really has made me chuckle

excellent work man!! i love the way you've painted the skin! why don't you post a mini-tutorial for splendid skin tone

thx , you are right the arm is indeed taken from an old Horror, which by the way have been much cooler then the new ones....

again thx, a tutorial....hmm...well I could do this when I find some time. Basically it is not always the same procedure, although I almost always use the same colors. I basically took a tutorial from a White Dwarf where they paint the new Manfred Von Carstein. If I will find some time, I will do a tutorial. Maybe combined with my last tainted one that needs to be finished...
