| Introducing my new warband. It's hard to stick to one project at a time. Brethren: When I was these new models in GW I couldn't resist a few. Initially I figured that they would make great undead ghouls but ultimately decided that they are perfect for carnival of chaos. Brethren and nurglings: So I am welll covered for henchmen. Although I will include two plague bearers. | |

| Brute: Obvously he's bigger than the generic GW brutes however I felt that the high WS, T and S justifies a more hectic mini. I am looking forward to building a second one. I cannot decide between another clown face or a hooded brute. Any thoughts? Finally a group shot: | |

| What a merry bunch! Your choice of models and colours gives your carnival a unique feel for sure, I like it alot! While I normaly refrain from using 1W models on monster bases, I have to say your brute looks great. Or horrific might be a better word The conversion is very characterful, and the paintjob on his face is particularly effectful. Hrm, clown face or hood for the second one. I'd say the clown face gives more of a vulgar and agressive feel, while hooded gives a more cold, cynic and faceless feel. Any ideas for the other heroes yet? If you are going with some heroes with more of a jester look, funny hats, masks or similar, then a bright orange pointy hood would tie it together nicely. If you're going for more grotesque clown typ of heroes, I'd say no hood, or a hood that does not cover his face that much. To shed some light on that ugly grin of his. Adding some grass to the brutes base would lift it quite a bit, big bases feels empty easily. But maybe you just did like I do some times when I'm exited, took the picture before you grassed his base I will be following your progress for sure! | |

| Wow great warband, i love the carnival of chaos! They are so well painted and the conversion work on that clownish brute is very nice. Myself, i prefer the hooded look on brutes or a (sorry fo the strong word) "idiot" face

| That is the COOLEST Carnival yet! The Clown really makes the thing click... GREAT CONVERTING & PAINTING. The Hobbit Goblins are probably the best pieces I've seen in the G.W./Jackson ranges; they don't particularly look like Goblins, but they make FINE Chaos/Undead Guys. AND Nurglings are always cool in their own charmingly disgusting way. TERRIFICALLY WELL DONE!

| I´m really scared of that brute as it reminds me of Pennywise Fine work so far altough I dont really like those Goblins, but thats because of the miniatures themselves | |

| Wow, amazing bunch, to me its the best start on a carnival warband ever, and the idea to use the new gobbos from the hobbit movie is nice one. But the BEST thing included here is by far your AWESOME clowny brute, i bow to thee, i am not worthy...... _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! | Thanks for the feedback. I am greatful for the overwhelming positivity.
I think the next brute will have to be a second clown rather than hood. Also I have named this clown Schmuckenpops. Haha.
Cheers. | |

| Plagues and goblins and demented clowns, OH MY! This is a very well-put-together warband. I think the new Hobbit goblins make for a GREAT addition as bretheren. Very fitting. | |

| I am really impressed with your model selection and painting! Hobbit goblins as brethren, inspired! I'd have given them head-swaps with bretonian men-at-arms, but otherwise great looking!
Ogres fit on 25mm bases... | |

| Great stuff! The Clown-Brute is amazing, I'm really looking forward to the next one! The Brethren look liek you wouldn't want to even poke them with a stick! I have one minor point of criticism, namely that the nurglings, in spite of their poses, look a bit samey - perhaps they could have slight variations in color and hue? | |

| Pathfinder dubstyles: Good advice. Maybe I will move him to a chaos warrior base and put the next brute on one as well.
Folketsfiende: I now what you mean about the nurglings. I was kind of mucking around with them. I expect to make a few more that look a bit nastier. Perhaps purely greenstuff and more closely resembling classic nurglings. They might also have a painting revisit seeing as though the ground work is done.
My Carnival master is under construction as is the next brute (another clown).
I also have some interesting ideas for a plague cart.
The problem is just finding the time and I anticipate that it will be a while before any of them are ready for posting.
Cheers.

| Oh my God! These are brilliant!
I just love how you painted these Goblins miniatures from the Hobbit franchise... and that clown! That is the stuff my nightmares are made out of (and I mean that in a good way and in the best possible sense!). Your choice of colors for the goblins are way better than the GW version and that is truly a compliment!
Further, the addition of those nurglings speaks volumes insofar as your ability to mix miniatures into a convincingly cohesive unit!
Great job! | |
