| Why would they no longer sell Flesh Wash!? It is only the most versatile painting tool ever created I only have 1/4 of a jar left!!! Any alternatives that work as well?

| If you haven't already, get a set of the "new" Citadel washes. The old inks dry glossy and horrible. The washes dry matt and make everyone's painting look better. They really are as good as they say they are! Wash is better than ink. As they stopped selling Flesh Wash in about May or June 2008 it's amazing you have only just run out. You must have had quite a stock pile!! | |

| I second WarbossKurgan's statement. Once you've tried real washes, you'll never want to go back to the old ink stuff. | |

| I have tried them, and love the. But Flesh Wash had so many uses the reason I have some left is I stopped painting and playing for a few years. Is there anything similar to it? | |

| I would recommend going to an artist supply store or a craft store. Inks for artists were sold long before the gaming world jumped on the bandwagon and artists still use them. Also like most products they can be used quite easily outside of their intended consumers. | |

| Oh I know that I'm more specifically asking if anyone knows of one that is exactly or very close to the GW flesh wash. | |

| @ Plutz: it is your choice of course to try to find an ink similar to flesh wash, but I'd really advice you to at least give devlan mud a chance. I used to put flesh wash on everything back in the day to make things look good and now I do the same pretty much with devlan mud. Works on most colors. If these things were bombs, devlan mud would be the fire-and-forget-missile. Put it on the mini, do something else, come back and be happy with the result...
E: btw, your thread-title doesn't say anything about what the thread is actually about. I almost didn't look at it because I thought it was another complain-about-everything-evil-GW-does-thread. | |

| I've not found any replacement for the flesh wash. Like you I use it for a few things, no to do flesh actually, often on animal fur, it has this nice orangy tint and as for the gloss it's nothing a good matt varnish can deal with. I will be running out soon. You could try Ebay, that's where I got my last one. | |
