| Both the Black Hat & Perry Bros. would do splendidly for a Cathay War Band, although I'm not sure how well they'd match up size-wise to Citadel if you're fussy about that sort of thing. | |

| Black Hat Minis have great models - and for accessible prices too.
I met the guy who sells them and he told about the sculptor of those specific miniatures. Apparently he lived in China for a while, so he got his inspiration straight from the source.
Bushido should be compatible with 28mm if not slightly bigger.
Hell Dorado's Immortals are beautiful but slightly smaller than 28mm. I would definitely take a look at Hell Dorado's before getting them...
Alkemy's Jade Triad are also awesome miniatures and in plastic, but they are out of production (although you can still find them on eBay) and definitely smaller than 28mm.

| Hell Dorado figures are kind of strange and have quite a bit of variation in the scale. although the immortals & the sarrisans are the two warbands i have nothing for. their conquestador type figures scale up with GW empire figures quite nicely. although like rackham figures they tend to be in the french sculpting style of quite spindly and thin in some places. | |

| Yes, I see what you mean. I have a few of the Sarracens and most of them suit GW's scale. The Immortals are a bit smaller, though...
