folketsfiendes Forces of Kind of Good (New pics 2012-07-03)

I've decided to collect pics of different warbands together in fewer threads instead of dispersing them in small hard to notice ones. Herein you will find the unchaotic, unevil warbands I paint.

First off are the Middenheimers I painted for Madame Winters revenge! Btw, I've been informed of their unfluffyness, no need to point that out...

They were fun to play, although I had no chance to reach the high rating of the Skaven warband that weekend.

VERY WELL DONE! The Lads & Lass are a FINE LOOKING no-nonsense War Band. Who makes the Witch? She's a striking figure.

The witch is non other than Sara Zingaresce (the anteater favoured name, remember?) from HellDorado. I gave her a mop, with a haired skull (which to me seems like a mighty strange thing - but then again, the Warhammer world is a mighty strange place), to accentuate the witchyness, and to play around with the witches and brooms imagery.

They make quite a team, I think, though I've yet to find any actual use for them gamewise. drakkols dwarven wench was really fun to paint, although I'm not sure I succeded in bringing out the potential in the mini - DeafNala did a better job IMHO. Still, I'm very glad I got the chance to paint it!

And, just to be sure, they do have pupils, they're just not visible in the pic, due to lighting and angle.

VERY WELL DONE! Whether or not they're of actual use in a game, they certainly would enhance the appearance of a gaming table...probably effect the morale of any Ostlanders & Dwarves in play. Your painting style captures the gritty elegance that I associate with the Renaissance...I love the expression on the Short Babe's face.

Thanks a lot! Both your and DeafNala's paintjob made me think about my part of these jobs and i realized better what i sculped in the right way and what not. You don't know how much you two have been of help painting her. I owe you a couple of beers (or glasses of fine wine or grappa).

Last but not least...I like very much your warband! And your barfolks.

Thanks drakkol! I might take you up on your grappa offer... I will probably be travelling to the north of Italy some time in the next six months, so I might as well nip by Friuli...

Nice start on those pirates.

NICELY DONE! The Babes are indeed very cool minis. When the spirit moves you, the basing will only add to their coolness. In the meantime, they're in some EXCELLENT surroundings.

The Pirate Ladies are finished! And yes, I have noticed the size differences, and yes, I want it to be that way - I guess you have noted that irl people tend to differ greatly in stature?

You did some GREAT brushwork & basing on some EXCELLENT minis. I like a variation in height/bulk; re, it's the way it is i real life...uniformity is for blocks of troops. I'm glad one of us could afford those pieces; they make an UBERCOOL looking Crew. VERY WELL DONE!
