| These came up in games or just in my head recently:
If you add a member to a henchman group who already has, say, 1 advance and 3 exp, will the new henchman have the same things? I assume yes.
What basesize should Possessed be on? We are currently using my Chaos Spawn on 40mm's.
Can any warrior wear any armour if he gets it, or only the armour on their equipment list?
Thanks

The released Possessed came on 25x25mm but a lot of people use Spawn, so I'd say that's fine. - Theorox wrote:

Theo Not sure about this one as I've never used armour in Mordheim! But I think it's just the armour on your starting list.

| Armor falls into two categories: Light Armor Heavy Armor
Light armor is, well, light armor. If your List says Light armor, you can wear light armor. If you're using the fancy set of rules, I also lump "Toughened Leathers" into this category, but if you're just starting out, don't worry about those.
Heavy Armor is Heavy, Ithilmar, and Gromril. If your list says Heavy, you can wear any of the three. (Sea Dragon Cloak has also been ruled as 'heavy', but that's only for Dark Elves).
Also note the individual's equipment. Some wizards say "they can't wear armor." Possessed (the heroes) and ghouls say "never use weapons or armour." That overrides whatever their warband list says.
Hope that helps! | |

- new recruits and
existing henchmen groups
You may add new recruits to existing Henchman groups. If the group is relatively inexperienced, you will have no difficulty in finding raw recruits to add to their numbers. But more experienced gnarled veterans are not so keen on letting novice warriors join them – and quite rightly so! Between each battle, roll 2D6: this represents the experience of the warriors currently available for hire. You can hire as many warriors as you wish, as long as their combined Experience does not exceed your dice roll. For example, if you rolled 7, you could add a single warrior to a Henchman group with 7 Experience points, or two warriors to a Henchman group with 3 Experience points, or any combination thereof. Disregard any excess Experience points.
As with other new Henchmen, you must pay for all their weapons and armour, and in addition you must add 2 gold crowns to their cost for each extra Experience point they add to the warband’s total. New Henchmen must be armed and equipped in the same way as existing members of the group.

| (This is only for henchmen... if you buy a Champion (who starts with 8 experience), you don't have to pay an extra 16gc. | |

| What the serious heck?! O.o How could I not have seen that? Very well, starting next game I'll do that. I did wonder what the "available veterans" thing was in the post-game action sequence, but I just assumed it was about hiring warriors and must have skipped over it... Thanks! (Haven't added guys to groups with HUGE amounts of exp. or anything, so it shouldn't be a big deal. My brother have obviously not done it either, so we'll call it even on that. Theo | |

Right there is the attitude that makes Mordheim so much fun. The game is important. Not the rules. Not the winning. The game.
Keep that attitude up and you will be just fine! Thanks! O'course, I'm a very laid-back and loveable person. I'm also really enjoying Mordhiem. My Warband is TOUGH, with everyone already Str4 except one of my Big'Uns after what, 5-6 games? Lots of brawls! Theo

| For future, you're only allowed to hire 2D6 worth of experience per post game... so once a henchman group reaches 13 exp, you can't add anyone to them.
Although, there really should a skill or item to increase that.

| Agreed, or just more D6's if you have a Warband Rating over a certain level. Theo | |

| In my circle we count both Toughened Leathers and Ithilmar armour as light armour. Works for us.

| Well, i can understand why wizards and the like cant wear armor, but i do believe that armor in the core rulebook is quite a let-down. In the campaign i was tryin to run we had a couple of houserules to improve the armor and make players use it more. Among other thing we choosed to replace "Strongman" with "Shieldbash"
More on the topic; In my mind my characters is amazingly lucky and gets an gromgil armor and becomes Mordheim Legends. (i have however not played more than 2 matches so aint sure my warband will see this future.)

we use it this way too. Shadow warriors are not allowed heavy armor, but Ithilmar armor. So it seem more fitting to count ithilmar as a better version of the heavy armor.
